I cringe also, but I am thinking, who in these people's lives are telling them that they can sing good enough to go on TV. I mean I sing in church and in the car but I KNOW I am not near as good as people that do it for a living. They just have so much better voice control. Then there are the people that are flat out tone deaf... Somebody needs to tell them before they get on national TV and embarass themselves..
Or maybe they DO tell them, but they won't listen. I only saw three or four of the bad ones, but it was more about them trying to have 'presence' than musical ability.
The good thing about us singing Rick, particularly in worship, is God doesn't mind if we sing imperfectly, as long as we mean what we sing! :animwink:
