Mission Space is just around the corner. No doubt, there will be numerous posts on this message board of firsthand ride experiences. Many of us will 'eventually' get to ride it; be it opening day or one year later.

The question is, would you rather read through the dozens of ride details before ever seeing it in person?

Or would you rather wait and approach the attraction with virgin knowledge?

Will you go out of your way to avoid threads which might include ride detail spoilers?

I never really thought about this before. I guess if I was headed to WDW within a few months of the opening I would try to hold out, but if I were waiting close to a year or more then I'd want to see the spoilers. So I'm not really sure how to vote. I guess I'll put a yes for looking at the spoliers, but it's a qualified yes.

I'm not sure... I'm aching to get on this ride, which means I would more than likely read spoilers, but it would be nice to get on it with no knowledge of what is to come. there's a lot to be said about not knowing shat's going to happen.

I'd look for the spoilers beforehand because I like to keep as up-to-date with any WDW news as I can so I know what to look forward to. Especially with all the hype on this attraction, I look forward to any news or reviews on it that I can find.

It sure would be nice to know what kind of ride it is etc, etc. But I DON'T WANT TO KNOW about any surprise elements or hidden features. An approach as done by the "Unofficial Guide Books" would do just fine.

Whats the point of seeing Alien Encounter knowing that the alien escapes ? Oooops - sorry, didn't mean to spoil it for anyone.

As a mother, I don't mind the information. I know that most of the rides have warnings, but they're not always about specific things that interest me. I don't mind spinning type rides; my husband can't tolerate them...but coaster corkscrews don't bother him! I didn't go on RnR for ages, because my one and only experience with an inverted coaster was terrible. When I finally learned that you can't see the tracks (at least I couldn't), I was fine...it was the anticipation that frightened me, not the sensation itself. But the fact that it's in the dark would still frighten my son, so we'll wait to bring him on. However, he's been going on the HM since he was a toddler...it's the combination that's too much for him. (He did go on Space Mountain...won't do it again, at least not yet.)

I would prefer to have as much information as possible. I think many parents of young children would skip Mission Space, but after reading about the neat playground, I know we can still do a swap without spoiling anyone's fun. ;)

I've made it this long without knowing what it is, hopefully I can hold out until I ride it, but the spoilers may get the better of me.:brick:

I can get some really bad anxiety before going on a ride. I get realy nervous and stuff so I like to know somewhat what I'm getting myself into.

I agree with Mom. I have a wife and three kiddos, of varying ages, so I kinda need to know what "type" of ride it is. This way I know who can and can't go on it. Or in the case of my daughter, who will or won't go on it.

I don't care about all the technical stuff that people post and I don't want any of the "surprises" spoiled. I do like the "build up" type post. That helps me get excited about new attractions.

I also agree that if someone is gonna post some "spoiler" type info then they should title the thread as such. This way the folks who don't wanna know will not read the post.

Anyway, just my .02.

I would read the spoilers as the type and quality of the ride may very well be a factor in whether we go down there again soon or not. If it's not great, then I would probably wait until 2006 for my next trip.

I don't think it really matters if you read teasers or not because you can read and read and read about all of the rides, but until you experience it you will never really know what it is. Take TOT, everyone knows it drops but no amount of reading can ever really prepare you for it, you have to ride it to experience it.

I'd wanna know what it does so I'll know what to expect. Although I'd go on it no matter what, I'd still really like to know what it does just in case it's something that I'd really hate to do.

I couldn't agree with you more! Even watching the ride online can't really show you what it is like! That's what Disney is all about... no matter how much you read or do, it's NOTHING like when you are there experiencing it in person. I love Disney. :D

I would read the spoilers until a point, like so I will know things about the beginnings, but stop before the middle. I would rather experience it my self.
