Sorry if this has been answered already but I am very scared to ride Mission Space and want some clarification on something. My 7 year old and myself are paranoid with upside down rides. Does Mission Space turn upside down?? We could handle spinning but nothing that turns upside down. Please let me know. Thanks !!

Go for it!!!!!!!!!!! This ride absolutely does NOT go upside down at all!!! There are parts where the pods are tilted to make you feel like you are lying down, but other than that NO!! It is an amazing experience!! Have fun!! Belle

I am looking forward to this ride. I hope in Dec. My friend comes with my wife and mother in law so i have someone to ride the more exciting rides with.

While it doesnt go upside-down, it is an experience like nothing you have felt before. Its an incredible ride that has to be experienced to fully understand what its like, but I would say that if you dont do well in confined spaces, and dont enjoy heart-pounding thrills, think carefully about riding. It is intense, and a heck of a lot of fun!

M:Space is intense, but not in the ways the ads make it out to be. I think it is a great ride, but don't get freaked out by the hype.

.

all I can say is that Disney is not doing themselves any favors by promoting this ride to be so intense. They are doing so to make a statement about a new direction.

My wife would not ride this because she saw the commercial and some posts on here.

I was so upset that she didnt ride it. In fact, I had become so scared that when I got in , i was shaking and breathing way too heavy. When it started I was like "what's the fuss all about". it's amazing but not at all too intense.

I am even chlostrophobic but was fine because my mind was so focused on the screen in front of me.

I would say that you'll be fine. The G's are NOTHING like they make it out to be and you do not turn upside down. It is really something very easily taken. That's from someone who was terrified to do it.

the g forces on the rides arent that strong i think its only like 2 or 3. if u go on the carnival ride starship 2000/3000 where they put 5 gs on u,,, those can hurt. but u can move your legs up and down even during the gs on m:s it doesnt hurt at all

I don't want to discourage you at all, but there is discussion you might find interesting in a post entitled "Disney ride has sent 6 to hospital"

of course, the 'victims' were mostly elderly people with known, pre-existing heart problems - unless you fall in to this category, you should try it

I'm glad you commented about this because I can hardly wait to ride M:S, but was a little concerned about the G's. I love thrill rides, but did not like the Starship ride---it actually hurt my chest and was having some second thoughts about M:S.

151 days till I find out for myself!

I am also glad this was commented on, because that thing made me really uncomfortable and is 100% the reason for my fear.

And 36 days for me. I'll let you know how it goes!

not to discourage you but, Mickey's Philharmagic could send 8 elderly people to the hospital with heart problems. In fact, so could saying "BOO!" real loud.

elderly to hospital

I totally agree - note that I concluded by encouraging them to ride - I was just pointing out that at least 6 people, however frail, did find the ride to be "intense" - I'm sure that a lot more people, elderly and otherwise, have needed hospitalization because of the summer heat than from M:S
