All I have to say is that it is very possible that you could motion sickness but if you have asthma or are castraphobic DO NOT go on.

I love all Disney rides and none make me sick...but I am NOT a person who likes rollercoasters and thrill rides at any place else... they are not my thing...I get scared... But Disney for me the theming is the best part...and Mission Space is amazing. It never makes me sick...only euophoric. :) My husband sometimes gets mildly queasy AFTER riding MS...sometimes not. Our friend who is a pilot actually got a bit queasy on it... I've been on it with morning sickness and still felt fine afterward. LOL. I would say it is not to be missed... just keep your eyes straight ahead and watch the screen and you should be fine.... and it is not a very long ride in any event.... and you even get a few seconds of nap time during the "flight." :)

Definately give it a "go for launch" :)

In my opinion, I feel that Mission Space is an awesome and unique experience. The first time I rode it I was really nervous therefore didn't really listen to the warnings on "how to ride the ride". So when launch started, I closed my eyes and started to feel the spinning. I remember not liking the ride after the first time because my eyes were closed the whole time. (so dumb of me) I did actually go on it again and got the advice to "keep your eyes open". I loved it. I've been on it multiple times a day and have been the navigator every single time. I reccommend playing with all the buttons in your capsule before and during the ride ... it calms you down and its fun. And if you follow the rules on how to ride, then you cant really tell its spinning. Have fun and good luck :)

I was VERY apprehensive about going on M:S, but DS and DD convinced me it was great. Confirming what many others have said - it's great, enjoy it, don't eat before if you are concerned and do not look around or move your head. I thought the ride was great. DD loves being spun around in a centifuge, and she thinks it's the greatest ride around. DS has done it twice and he's done with M:S. I did it, loved it, and I'm done. On to Soarin'!

There were 10 of us last month, one of whom (not a big thrill rider) didn't enjoy the experience. I wasn't with her at the time, so don't know if she followed all the best advice, which is:
Head Back.
Look Forward.
Not on a full stomach.
Not on an empty stomach either (Low blood suger is suspected by some as a prime culprit. We had hard candies to suck upon before boarding, but not during, the ride).

A few years ago at the fair, we had a tilt-a-whirl operator let the ride run for 4-5 minutes. Before that, any type of motion sickness was rare to non-existant for me. Since then, I usually don't want more than one spinning ride per day. Amazingly, the worst is a slow spinner at Paramount's Great America. I knew that MS would spin, but would have never guessed it had I not already known. No problems even though it was our first ride at park opening after a night of Blue Chuckles and Jungle Juice in PI. And I am practically a non-drinker; that was the only alcohol I've had since Oct. 2005.

In my opinion, the "horror" of Mission Space is grossly exagerrated. I would never have hesitated to let my son ride when he was 4.

Cheers.
