My wife and I will be returning in Feb. 2003. Does anyone have even a ball park date of when the Mission Space will be opening?
Or will we be out of luck?

Thanks

Possible you might miss the soft openings. I'm guessing the soft openings happen around March. But durring soft openings, it isn't open all the time and might be closed for weeks at a time. My guess for an opening date is July 1st, but others have said Mid-May.

As one imagineer jokingly put it:

"My cheeseburger tasted a lot better going down than it did coming back out."

I made the suggestion that one of the pods could be used for a Disney Cruise Line preview, because then it would be pure Disney Magic! ;)

Well as we learned about the premis of M:S and of the Ride vehicle you could deduce that there would be a large Nausa factor associated with M:S, It had been clear to me after these facts came to light . I may need to avoid M:S for health reasons myself. I would love to experence M:S but have to concider it closely on my next trip

You also hope that you don't get Guests inside the same ride vehicle as you that are also easily nauseated, or you'll be in for a surprise as well. :zipit:

Maybe they should add a secondary sponsor - Dramamine!
They could give you a tablet when you pick up your fastpass. ;)

Seriously, I always take Dramamine or Bonine every time I go to the parks.

The seats have rather useful dividers on them between each seat, so you are nicely separated ;) LOL although I think it was done for audio separation, it may serve well for another use ;)

One word for me: scopolamine. This is good to know so I can bring some patches.

Why would the "hurl factor" slow the opening? Are they going to try to modify the ride to decrease motion sickness, or are they adding barf bags?

It would be terrible if they built a fantastic ride that most people don't tolerate. At least lines would be short.

I was peaking around on other rumor boards this weekend and some seem to think that the opening ,soft or official will be on or around memorial day 2003. we shall see how this progresses.

Mostly because a chronic "hurler" would not bode well for the ride. There are actually more problems than this, but the hurling one is the problem that I can get away with describing without spoiling any real technical details about the ride.

And they're just now thinking about this!?!?!?!
