Has anyone heard anything on music for this attraction? I'm wondering if something specific will be composed for this pavilion...I'd love to add it to my collection! Anyone hear any "space" music playing in the area yet? Thanks.

I hope and think that the music will be great. But do you think there will be any musical tribute to Horizons? What about any other type of tribute found somewhere inside the attraction?

Is there anything from world of motion still existing in Test Track??

if you walk through the fastpass queue of the test track line, you will see an old car that was in the original world of motion ride.

Also... someone posted awhile ago (cant find the post or thread now) That the Outside.. around the Planetary Plaza, they were testing the speakers.. and the music sounded a Lot like the score from the movie Contact.

There are a few samples here.

I can't wait to hear the music inside and around thin new and interesting ride. I am a student of music and have a somewhat large collection of disney music and I have always felt that disney puts a great deal of effort into their musical selections. With a ride this anticipated and of such high quality I have high standards for the pieces to be featured.

While there may be reworked Horizons music as part of the Space Pavilion's music loop, there will definitely be show elements from Horizons found in the queue and probably other places in the pavilion that come directly from its predecessor. While it would look a little weird having a sea lion sitting in the queue, something from the life in space section will probably make its way in.

YES!! You and I are on the same "frequency" here. A rerecorded Horizons orchestral score would be beautiful at M:S

If get on M:S for the first time and I hear that sprawling sweet melody with pounding timpani drums.....placed at the right show point, it might actually bring a tear to my eye!!

I would not hold my breath on getting an audio loop consisting just of Horizons reworked...it may appear in the audio, but this attraction will also have its own new theme. Disney learned from Innoventions at Disneyland create new music for new attractions...

The Mission: Space background score will consist of a medley of Horizons and other compositions, with a likely new theme for that pavilion...

E.g. OLS and Imagination! Institute Theme

E.g. New Horizons/Horizons and Mission: Space Theme...

Too bad they only make one CD of attraction music at a time now. There is enough great music to make one or more CD's for each park. What ever happened to that make your own CD thing?

Hey!
Nope, sorry. I haven't heard on anything about the music for this attraction. But I hope it is better than the Space mountian music that is on the past cd's. I love that ride, and I don't know who doesn't , but the area music stinks.!

That would be cool...one of my favorite movies, books and soundtracks! Re-worked Horizons would be nice too, and maybe Gavin Greenaway (ToN & RoE) could tie it all together with a new score.
A little off subject, but did you know you could go to the SETI website and download a program that lets your PC help search space for transmissions, like in the movie?! It's pretty cool, although perhaps futile. :lookaroun
