Had they kept alot of the information from the early world's fair draft they wrote in 1963 and incorporated it into the final product....we would know what their last name is and where they live.

Alright, their last name is Peabody and they live in Middleburg USA...however from what I learned, a GE wig originally wanted them to live in Schenectady, NY because that is where GE's original headquarters are.
By the time the world's fair came, we didn't know who the family was or where they were from...though the backdrop in Act IV for the 1960s was a suburban neighborhood with pine trees, covered in snow at Christmas.
Also, the generic ("But doesn't that look like Schenectady?") backdrop lead into the postshow which was Medallion City, a sparkling indoor mini mall showing a real-size street scene of a hip city in the near future (with GE products of course)
We didn't learn that their son's name was James until 1994!
Patricia was originally called Jane.
Grandma and Grandpa are John's parents.....Orville....who knows whose cousin that is.
The 1967 ending was a slight redressing of the 1964 ending, with a huge change in the backdrop, the Peabody Family now lived at EPCOT (Progress City)....but even had it been built we're talking late 70s early 80s for that place to open....still with formeica and olive green washer and dryers. :lol:

Always loved the EC hiding in the window. Great little tie in across the company, it should return.
