Well we made it over to POC this morning for the big re-opening. Not too much fanfare but there sure was a big crowd. There were alot of Disney "suits" hanging around giving the hint that there might be something big going to happen but there was nothing. We saw the first "Pirate Training" show today at 10:15 and it was great. My son got picked and really enjoyed it. Capt. Jack looked and sounded great. There was much confusion as to where the show was actually going to take place. The CMs said it would be one place right up till the show started then changed everything so it didnt pay to get there early. Those that just had walked up got the best views. At the end everyone in the show got a Official Pirate Apprentice Certificate. More to come.......

The line went all the way down to Jungle cruise all morning and adventureland now needs a parking garage for all the strollers. The wait time sign didnt seem to be working though, it changed back and fourth from 90 to 40 min all morning even with the huge line.

Actually I was looking to see if Ryland was there filming it. Of course I didnt take my video camera so I was hoping he did and it would show up here later. But yea I got tons of pictures, somewhere like 100 I think. We got there at 9:15 for the 10:15 show and waited where we were told the show would be. Then as it started they moved it to the other side of the walkway so then we were in the very back of the pack. Off to the side was the best I could get. The pictures of the line were talen at 1:30 and shortly after it poured.

Adventureland hasn't been that crowded in years. Maybe the bean counters/suits will see the advantage of doing serious rehabbing of a ride. Here's hoping HM is next.

I hope they open El Pirate e El Perico Restaurante (sp?) to a full service now that Adventurland will be even more crowded.

I think HM can still wait a while. Then need to work on Space Mountain and the TTA.

Hm...... a friend of mine that works at maingate was in one of your pictures... wonder what he was doing working at MK? Guess I'm gonna have to call him out on that one......... FRANK!!!!!!!! Happened to need a trip to MK on 7/7?!? How CONVENIENT...:p

Thanks for the update! That is some line for POTC, I don't think I have ever seen it so long. I hope Caribbean Plaza and Adventureland don't get choked like Fantasyland with all the stollers.

I cannot wait to ride POTC!
