Hi, I don't know if anyone can help here, my friend, DH and 2 children are going to stay at the Port Orleans Riverside in August for 2 weeks, she has asked me if I know the nearest place they sell milk!! I didn't know if they sold milk in the shop in the hotel or if the nearest place was at the Crossroads shopping place?

Your help would be very much appreciated:wave:

I believe all the hotel shops sell milk. I think it's by the 1/2 gallon. However, it is pretty pricey. I think that if they think that they are going to need a lot of milk, they should probably just try to go over to Gooding's near DD. I've never been there myself, but from what I hear they are kind of expensive, too. However, if they need more than a 1/2 gallon it might be worth their while to check it out.

Your a star thanks, I think she wanted to know if she could get something in the hotel the night they arrive after their flight, so she'll be really pleased with the news that they sell milk in PO

Thanks for your help

The gift shop will be your best bet. There are places you can buy it for less off property but when you factor in time and gas you aren't exactly saving a ton of cash. One word of caution. Do not buy milk in any containers larger than a half gallon as they will not fit very well or at all in the fridge in your room.

I'm not positive if they have it in the gift shop...know they have soda and beer, but have never looked for milk there.

If not, they DO have it just down the hall in the Riverside Mill (food court)

This answers my ?. Thanks! We plan on either taking milk with us or stopping somewhere along the way to buy some. I was wondering if a gallon would fit. (it does in our dorm size fridge at the daycare I work at) My kids like to eat as soon as they get up so we'll take cereal with us. My son also is a big milk drinker.

Here's a pick of a POR fridge from Deb Wills for your consideration

We got our milk from the convenience store at one of the Hess stations on property on our way back to the hotel our first night. We weren't sure if they would have whole milk at the hotel and that is what our 1 year old needed. So we figured we would rather have it than have to go back out to get it. The price wasn't bad...about the average cost at any given store.

All the resort shops have milk in various sizes and types. It is a staple for me in WDW since I enjoy going back to my room at night and indulging in fudge or cookies or whatever I happen to buy that day.:slurp:
