Mid December or early January?

I want to go to Disney World during my Winter break. I'm trying to decide whether we should go at the beginning of my break, around December 16th, or closer to the end of my break, sometime between January 2nd and 9th. Which would be a better time to go? I know the marathon is in early January, how much would that and the crowds it brings interfere with touring?

Either one wont be that bad. But it also depends on how much of the Christmas Displays that you want to see and whether or not you want to see MVMCP. Personally I would choose December just to see everything decorated. Some of it will still be up in January but Christmas is really over at that point all in all.

If you haven't seen WDW at Christmas time, You need to go in December. It's well worth it.:xmas:

We love December at Disney (could be bias, we married there the 14th of December and honeymooned there until the 20th) We have gone the 23-26th as well and honestly, loved the week of our wedding more, much less crowded than the Christmas week.
