Hi everyone,

Quick question was considering going the second week in aug. I know alot of kids still on vacation but are the crowds still large or are they managable? Any help you can give would be great.

The crowds are manageable, but its the weather thats a killer. Its still very hot and humid and you can expect a storm just about every afternoon. Did I mention it was hot and humid? :lookaroun

If you plan well, use Fastpass and take advantage of EMH (if possible) you should be ok. Just remember to pace yourself, stay hydrated and schedule a/c breaks to give your body a chance to recover.

We went August 1st - 22nd 06. We found the first week quiet at first and then getting busier before dropping off again in week 3. With careful planning and realistic expectations that you're not going to see / ride everything (and be stood in line for quite some time) it is manageable

Aug is the hottest month of the year. We were there in Sept of last year and I almost physically melted away ... and I grew up in Florida! You should do all of your outside activities between the hours of 3am and 5am .. lol

We go every August. The crowds are light but it is very hot!! My family and I dont mind the heat at all and there is so much to do anyway. Most of the waiting lines have cool air or mist blowing on you. Besides, there is always the chance for free dining at the end of August!! Have fun.

I live in FL and we are AP holders. We refuse (unless my cousin is dancing) to go in July, August, and most of September. It is way too hot and humid. Then, to be standing in a line with hot, sweaty people (some that don't use deoderant), it is a nauseating experience!!!:hurl:
We prefer to go between November and April. Every other month has a HUGE chance of having 90 degree (or more) temps.

We went last August for the mid 2 weeks and absolutely loved it. It is VERY hot but if you go with a good plan it can be wonderful. We are going back again this year for the 1st two weeks. I don't particularly like it that hot but we went out in the mornings and were back at the hotel swimming and resting in the afternoon and then went back to the parks at dinner time. It actually was a more relaxing vacation than when we go in December because we took the time to rest and swim. The crowds weren't that bad if you use fastpass you should be fine. Take a spray bottle fan and enjoy:D
