My Husband and I will be going to take Part in Mickey's very merry Christmas this weekend. We have no idea what to expect. Will there be a lot of people there? What are must do's? Any ideas will be great, thanks. Looking forward to seeing snow in FL!

Went on November 19th and its great. Get a good seat for the parade, its very good. Christmas wishes is outstanding. The crowd wasn't horrible, but expect the main street area to be pretty crowded, lines for the rides were not bad.

We went two weeks ago today, actually! I loved it. Best money spent. Every ride was a walk on! And the fact that there were wandering characters without lines blew my mind! And a MUST see are the 7 Dwarfs. We waited for about 45 mins. but the picture turned out perfect. Make sure you schedule your rides and times around the firework/parade times. And there are lots of free Coco and Cookie spots throughout. They party was wonderful. :xmas:

Avoid the crowds by waiting for the second "Once Upon a Christmastime" parade at 10:30pm. Fireworks are at 9:30pm. Snow is forecast to fall intermittently throughout the party on Main Street USA. Enjoy the free holiday treats found a specific locations throughout the park.

Don't forget that with a "Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party" ticket, you can arrive anytime after 4pm. By doing so, allows more time in the park and avoids the crowds that come right at 7pm.

Finally, "Cinderella's Holiday Wish" (the castle lighting ceremony) is at 6:15 during regular park hours, so if you don't want to miss that, make sure you arrive early.

First of all get there by 4pm, so you have time to play before the party, and I agree wait for the 2nd parade! We did everything for the party 1st, and then rode the rides which was a walk on. They have all sort of characters out for pics, and both Mickey & Minnie are in Toontown in the judges tent. Go to the dance parties they are fun for both young and old.

The one and only complaint: It wasn't cold enough to feel like it was Christmas, but I live in Florida so I know how it is.

Most of all HAVE FUN!!

my DH, DD & myself attended this last yr during Tgiving and the crowd was crazy on Main St. last yr we were not aware of being allowed in the parks by 4pm. So we had ADR's at Chef Mickey's and did not get back to the event till 8pm.

I am flying in this weekend w/ just my DD for a few meets that are happing and I have reserved tickets for us 2, on Dec. 5th. I am leaving my DH home it is a girls w/end.

I am confused when it comes to MVMCP! We are planning 2 days at Disney in December 2017, one day MK and one day Epcot. I am now thinking of just skipping the MK day and using that day for the party only!? Are tickets sold just for the party hours with no park admission being required beforehand?
I read that most of the attractions are running with low wait times? Parade: is the first parade more crowded than the last? Does the crowds thin out as the night draws to a close? I need help from my friends on here! Please help me decide!

If you just buy the ticket to the party, you cannot enter MK until 4 PM.

Depends on the night of the party. I was there on Friday and it was packed. Most rides had normal wait times. I went again last night and everything except 7DMT and Peter Pan were pretty much walk-ons.

Yes, the first parade is more crowded than the second.
Does the crowds thin out as the night draws to a close?
Once again, depends on the night of the week as to how soon the crowds thin out.

Thanks Bob! I think we will go to the party for our MK day and save some money! We don't have a must do list so we just want to ride a few favorites and get free cookies and Hot Chocolate(LOL we paid for it might as well!) and watch the nighttime Christmas Parade and fireworks. Never been to a party or seen the party parade. Just on TV on Christmas Day! I heard that the fireworks and the parade is much better than regular night parade and fireworks...is that true?

Parade is very different from MSEP. If you like a holiday themed parade, you'll definitely enjoy it. Fireworks are plussed and also given a holiday theme. I will say that I think that the plussing of Illuminations during the holidays does top the MVMCP fireworks. Both are great, tho!

Sorry to piggy back onto your post but I was hoping others with experience could help with my 2 questions! We are a group of 7 going this Monday, unfortunately we purchased tickets/booked hotel through multiple accounts/email and now attempting to link everyone to mine so that we can do fast passes in advance has become one big headache. Is it possible to make fastpass selections for 4pm-7pm at the kiosks in the park? I think it will go much smoother. Secondly, when I originally bought the tickets online i purchased them for my 2 sisters who have now canceled on me, instead I'm bringing 2 friends. Does it matter about names on the tickets? I just printed out the PDF for them and i don't see any names anywhere so I'm thinking its fine right?

I would like to know if there is any day that is better than another? I imagine Friday/Saturdays are busy more than thru the week parties!? We are definitely go to MVMCP in 2017, how soon do the begin selling tickets? How soon out from our date should we purchase?(right away if possible my plan) Thanks Guyz and Galz!
P.S.
I's time to start checking your lists TWICE, to find out who's naughty and who's nice!
