Couple things I've noticed from first watch tonight (on a livestream).
  • Some perimeters shells were cut.
  • Still using just 2 of the 180 launch configuration. But using the 2 adjacent launchers next to center main. So 5 total launchers, technically.
  • The castle and FL pyro in general is still cut back from 2019. Same as 2021/2022. Some minor changes and swaps.
  • Minnie's narration throughout the show was re-recorded. I was voicing it in my head because I have it mostly memorized by now (lol) but its changed this year.

Pretty sad the 2019 close proximity pyro was never restored, I wonder if they changed the order list from supply issues and then forgot/haven't bothered to adjust it back or show budget was never adjusted for possible price increases.

The weird thing is a lot of the cuts were basic (cheap) pyro like comets and comets with tails. It filled the space when the music was calm-ish in a way like for 10 secs.

I guess those were the easiest to cut (at the time) due to their number of product and deemed not necessary for the show to come back. Tbh I don't think anything has been restored that was cut in 2019 -> 2021. Maybe one day..

If anything, I want the 2 additional sites near Tron and BTMR to return even more.

Unfortunately I feel like until the current entertainment all around at MK gets replaced we won’t see the return of anything or improvements. Even then it probably won’t happen unless one day Big changes come to WDW as far as entertainment budgets.

They did put out a call to UCF/local college musicians for the toy soldier band, I can guarantee. Upsetting that they did not make the cut, but they tried

If we looking for this year's performance. The narrator voice of Minnie Mouse looks subtly different compared to the last year's performance and doesn't look like Russi Taylor's voice at all. Maybe, is it the first time that Kaitlyn Robrock narrates the firework show, as she became the official Minnie's voice since 2020 after Russi's death a year prior in 2019?

So, did no one sign up? Or did MK just cut them anyway??

Same thing probably happened with that Trolley Dancers rumor back in summer. Honestly!!!!!!!!

In my opinion the parade and fireworks show look tired and doesn’t wow as it once did. The stage show is still okay in my opinion but the others need to go. The floats need major updating. Look at Paris for an example of modern floats. The orchestrations in the fireworks show just come off cheesy and not grand at all. Most Florida guests probably don’t care but I won’t pay for the party anymore until updates are made.

I didn't watch the parade video but I'd agree on the fireworks. They need to be reworked. The score is fine but things could be improved to make the shells be more in-tune (pardon the pun) with the score. And just get rid of the insipid projections on the castle! It's just a distraction and adds nothing.
