Ok I did it....I ordered my tickets today for this. I don't think I've ever been so excited about something. It's just because we've never done this before. We had no idea about this at all when we made our reservations. It just happened to be the time that our friends could go. Now we get to do this too? How much more magic can one family take?

Has anyone ever done this before? Can you give me some ideas, pointers? I hear the kids can trick or treat and wear costumes. I've seen pics from the parades and I just can't wait.

Well, I don't have any answers, just more questions. We were also thinking about attending the event. I was wondering, are all the rides open? Some? Is it incredibly crowded even during the early dates in October?
Thanks for any info!

Grab Shell Dude!!!! Ride this posting shell and we'll see what we can find out. When are you going? I can't wait to get my tickets. I wanted to pick them up while I was there. I called WDW and they said they'd be mailed out to me. I wanted to touch them and fell them and play with them and scan them and tease everyone else with them.....

i went to mnsshp a couple of years ago. it was awesome. the haunted mansion music is played throughout the park, and there are ghost and witch shaped spotlights being shined on the stores of main street. all of the major rides are open, the mountains buzz light year and the haunted mansion (of course) just to name a few. kids can dress up in costumes, and can go trick or treating at i guess you could call them "stands" at specified areas of the park (they give you a map) its really great because they give you full size candy bars and towards the end the cm were just dumping the buckets into the bags lol. there is a parade that includes most if not all (i can't remember) of the villians along with some other floats with just a fall theme. the mnsshp is awesome and you will have an excellent time.

I am getting so excited. I hope to ask around during my visit there in July. I hope to get the inside scoop of what to do and where to go before I get there. Thanks so much.

I have a quick question.. My family is going to wdw from oct. 6th thru the 13th. We were deffinately thinking about doing mnsshp since we've never done it before. So far all of the answers here have been great and I appreciate it. :) But I do have a few more. The youngest in our family will be 12 and Im going to be 22. Do you really think this is something that we would enjoy? Is there an age limit to getting candy? I also heard that because of this there probably wouldnt be any e-ride nights during october. So does that mean that mnsshp is a limited event as well or does it tend to get just as crowded, if not more so, as a regular day in the park? Thanx in advance.

Well if there is my wife must be wearing pretty well.

As for the crowds it felt busier than E nights, but all of the park is open and some rides have next to no wait as lots of people are too busy gathering candy. The parade was worth watching as was the fireworks.

We arrived at the park around 4 got the bands and went to our dinner ressy, when we came out it was all set up.

Hope you have a good time Careship! I've never been, but since it's Disney it will be crowded. I thought they got rid of that parade though.

Is there a limited number of tickets they sell? We were at DW last October and sat on our balcony at the Poly and watched the lights on the castle and heard the music. My fiance' was so upset because she wanted to go and it was too late:( We are going again this year and definitely plan to go!!!!

When I talked to Disney reservations yesterday, she said you could still get tickets. Check online she said if the date is not there it is sold out. However, none of them are sold out yet she informed that some closer to Halloween are getting close.

I also want to point out that if you order them online, they charge $3 to send them to you. They do however have a will call pickup where you can just pick them up with your confirmation letter you print out and your photo id. You can get them at any of the ticket places in WDW theme parks 24 hours after buying online. I am saving the few bucks and grabbing mine during my July stay. I'll let you know if I have any problems with this. I ordered 9 of them for the 19th and had no problems and they still show that they have them.

Trev, to answer your question, I was 26 last year when I went with my family, and of course I will be 27 this year when we go back. I had so much fun. As fo rthe age limit on trick or treating, Me, mom ,dad and my bro. had no problems when it came time to get the candy. So my two cents is that your family are not to old and you should all have a blast , I know we will... Again.

I bought my tickets last week while I was at WDW for 10/24. I can't wait to see this as I have never done it before. We will be there with friends that have two kids so that should make it more fun I think.

I am sure it will. I was going to get them for the 24th and changed my mind. Figured that being the night before we check out, I better not be in the parks at midnight. So we are going the 19th. Try to get in touch with me and I'll let you know what I find out on the 19th, like where the best candy was.
