Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party ??

We're headed to WDW during the last week of Oct. and are contemplating whether we should spend the money for tickets to the Not So Scary Halloween Party at MK. Looking for feedback.

By the way, we're a family of 3 including a 17 year old. No younger kids.

It is worth going no matter how old you are!!! I went back in 1999 and it was fun. It also gives you a chance to ride some of the rides with hardly a wait. And the halloween parade is also cute!!! It's definitely a must see for Halloween time!! :D

Heading for the great escape.
Im going on the 31st too. Thought we would make the most of not having the kids in tow. Were also giving Universal a try on the Sat. Got to make the most of Halloween as we will miss Bonfire night in the UK. Do local store sell costumes? as my good lady wants to totally imerse herself in the evenings fun.

My question is: Do adults dress up? I was thinking of bringing my Snow White costume but I don't want to be out of place!! We are surprising our friends daughters by going to the party.:)

We did the halloween party in 2000. We loved it. It was great to see the park all done up for Halloween, the characters are in halloween costumes (yup, costumes in costumes), and the best part is how not crowded the park is! We were there for our honeymoon and got our ticket for the party on the day of our arrival. It worked out perfectly for us. We got to our timeshare (we were staying offsite), caught up on some lost sleep, went out to dinner and then headed over to the MK. We got into the park and found there were practically no lines anywhere! It was perfect. We managed to do almost everything we wanted at the MK in just a few hours. That way we devoted the rest of our vacation to the other parks, and went back to MK on our last day and visited the few things that we wanted to do that weren't open.

I would definitely do it again, if we were back down during that time. It is great fun!

Anyone have any idea how much stuff is open to do on the Halloween Party?? I am going for the first time this year. Is ti like MVMCP where only some stuff is open? Is there anything specific that is a MUST DO?? Thanks!!

This is by no means a complete list, since it was nearly 2 years ago when I went but I remember the following were open during the Halloween party:

Jungle Cruise
Haunted Mansion
Pirates of the Carribean
Winnie the Pooh/Honey Pot
Cindy's Golden Carousel
Mad Tea Party

Sorry - I think that's about all I can recall. I know there were more, but like I said, it was 2 years ago and my memory doesn't work that good anymore...

I think it's worth it though!

Yes, it is very similar to MVMCP as far as the rides that are open. As far as must do's: You gotta do the HM, it seems just a little bit spookier with all the Halloween spirit and i think the CM get more into it. Gotta see the parade. It's pretty good esp the ride of the headless horseman. Watch closely or you'll miss it. One thing I wouldn't waste my time with is the Boat Ride. They had music and story telling but it is so crowded that you can't enjoy it.

A friend of mine who grew up in Florida and had gone to every other Holiday event at WDW went to NSSHP in 2001. He said that he had been to WDW loads of times and that NSSHP was the most fun he had ever had.
