It's been years and years since we've been to the Halloween party. Do they still send physical cards in the mail after you buy your tickets?

I think I hit my head.

August 16th is the last night of our trip and like to end with fireworks. Because the 12th and 16th are the only party dates on while we are there, we have to do the 16th for MNSSHP to Enchantment otherwise we are booted out at 7pm aren’t we?

If previous years hold up then the park will close at 6pm on party nights for those that do not have a party ticket.
You could watch the fireworks and hear the music at Poly if you did not want to go to the party.
But also you could choose to go to say EPCOT your last evening to close out with fireworks in the park.
You really don't HAVE to go to a party but it sounds like you're justifying it because you want to go anyways.

If you’re planning to go to MK on the 16th, yes. You will need to buy a MNSSHP ticket to see fireworks that night. They do sweep the park as the party starts. And sunset isn’t until 8pm, so they won’t be doing fireworks before.

We’ll be there in August too and are contemplating MNSSHP on the 16th.

If you just want fireworks and don’t need it to be MK there’s always Epcot.

Yeah thats fine by us. We were going to MK on our last night so lets go out with a bang. It's $110 cheaper for the 3 of us and I'd imagine a fair bit quite without the Vloggers of the first night plus being a Tuesday

Just an fyi that it'll likely be a different fireworks show on party nights if that matters to you.

So they aren't likely to do both The Halloween ones and Enchantment?
Enchantment would be on non-party nights. In prior Halloween parties the firework show was replaced with Hallowishes. I believe 2019 had a new show that was projection mapped and happened around 10pm. Then the parade runs at 9ish and 11ish.

Several party-related casting calls have been posted since the announcement, but here's a specific one posted today related to the parade -

Does anyone know, when Resort guests get early purchase access, can they buy tickets for someone not on their reservation? The family mine would go/meet up with have a resort reservation, but we stay offsite. Hoping they can buy our tickets too so we can be sure to get the same day

I'm not sure to be honest. I would assume they can only purchase for those who are on their reservation in order to ensure fairness.
Also I imagine that there are 2 buckets of tickets... onsite and offsite so that there are tickets left for every party when offsite guests can purchase.
Unless you're trying to go to the first party or the party on Halloween itself I doubt you'll have trouble getting tickets for the same party as your onsite friends.
No harm in those onsite guests inquiring about purchasing for offsite guests though.

Is there any indication on the capacity set for the party? I'm sure it will be higher than the after hours parties (both Halloween and Christmas) last year, but any inferences we can make?
