These prices are ludicrous! They are charging WAY too much for the amount of people they let into these things. Sadly though, people will still keep paying and Disney will keep raising the prices.
They don't sell the event as "ride the rides with no crowds and minimal waits," they sell it as "come see the special fireworks, special parade, and special Meet & Greets."

I don't like it either, but the rides are an afterthought for most people who buy this.

Wait, so your argument is that the prices are so ludicrous and that they are charging too much, and as a result.....too many people are buying them and they sell out? Thats basically the definition of the price NOT being ludicrous.

There’s Discount Bob Iger striking yet again for the common man…
He’s “listening”… to the demands of Wall Street. Just like before.

Price hikes. More DVC. Room discounts to try and fill rooms. Carefully crafted sound bites to give the impression of caring about Joe Sixpack while subtlety extracting more from his wallet. Sound familiar? The only thing they haven’t done is offer up a buy-6-get-1-free ticket deal (because there’s no way in hell the 4-for-3 or even 5-for-2 comes back).

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

Do people actually subscribe to YouTube?
You don't subscribe to YT, you subscribe to individual channels.

The bell is to get alerts for when the channel you watch adds new content.

I don't bother with the bell. I just go to the "subscriptions" tab daily to watch the new videos put out by all the channels I'm subscribed to.

YouTube Premium cuts out the ads added by YT (but there's no relief from the channel's own sponsored stuff except to fast forward past it). YT Premium also provides a music subscription like Spotify, so, no need to subscribe to Spotify. The family program is generous with the number of people you can add to the Premium tier.

Sorry that’s what I meant - do people actually subscribe to channels? I guess it’s like following people on Instagram? Idk - I’m not a big YouTube user so that concept is foreign to me.

I follow mostly educational channels on music theory, science, math, nerd culture, and more.

What sucks is that the prices may be both ludicrous and not high enough at the same time. See also: Genie+

For me, $99 (AP discount) is not unreasonable. I’d feel differently paying double in October for a busier party. The trade off in August, of course, is the higher risk of a wash-out.

I hope WDW will get some more characters and a better variety of candy!

DLP's Halloween festivities will run from Oct 1 - Nov 5 this year.

If WDW must have this many parties, I'd prefer they don't start until September and go further into Nov instead (delaying Xmas too).

I would absolutely love if they gave our Main Street the Disneyland Paris Halloween Party treatment. It could become a staple like the snow during the Christmas parties.

It looks utterly incredible in person, and I imagine the projection mapping installed for Enchantment could be used for it just like it is now used for Happily Ever After. Throwing in some fog machines and green window lights would be inexpensive for the tremendous gain it would bring.

If they’re feeling even more generous, adding a few mazes/walkthroughs like Hong Kong Disneyland has had in the past would actually bring a ton to MNSSHP. If not at Magic Kingdom, then perhaps as a ticketed event for Hollywood Studios, like a less intense Halloween Horror Nights.

Now that I’m thinking about this, the Villains Land should definitely get a permanent walkthrough. It would be extremely popular.

Perhaps even toss in live actors walking around. I love the candy stations, but I feel there could be more to do. Seeing creepy gravediggers or ghosts from the Haunted Mansion walking around Liberty Square, Frontierland, and Main Street (like DLP) would be amazing. Truly, just imagine if you had Davy Jones’ crew running around Adventureland. Some of the other Disney resorts have scare actors, just toned down compared to Universal or Six Flags.

Even just having villains like Oogie Boogie or Hades walking around the lands that you just so happen to bump into for a quick moment would be exciting rather than dedicated meet and greets.

Of course, they could also pull a Tokyo Disneyland and make all the seasonal offerings free and allow costumes throughout the entire month of October. I understand the former, but why isn’t the latter already a thing?

At the very least, some more decorations like Cars Land has or a full-fledged overlay of a ride wouldn’t hurt. Call me crazy but I love IPs for events like these!

WDW really needs to up its game.

The feeling of Halloween at Disney Parks is something special!
Don't forget Villains Grove!

Can I ask about booking from the UK, I was reading on FB yesterday people saying about needing a VPN? But how does this work if I have a resort booking that I booked from the UK, how do they link them and allow me to book early for my stay? Or am I best to just ring Disney and book this way?
Heya the likes of attraction tickets get them to sell too so you can just get them from there

Yep, I did this last year and saw lots of other people online did it too. Idk how it links it but it does! Bought the MNSSHP tickets via the US site and they magically appeared in MDE a few hours later despite my resort reservation being via the UK site. Both were in there together no problems. Apparently the issue is that for booking events during the covid travel ban, Disney set them to be US only so international people didn’t book things they couldn’t then get into the country for and they just haven’t set it back to international guests.

IIRC last year there was a presale for a few weeks via the Disney site for guests with a resort reservation so using the US site with VPN is if people are worried their dates will sell out. But yeah they‘ll be available with less hoops to jump through from other sites just not as early I expect.

Thanks for coming back to me.

But how to Disney link them up? Do you just log into the American site the same as you would the UK site?

Ive got my VPN ready for Thursday, I just need a push in the right direction once I get there, any help appreciated.
