Wow Steve saying there’s hope for a night parade and now the castle dreamlights? I know we shouldn’t be getting to exited just yet though lol.

I do miss Jiminy’s voice in MK in the evening, but that’s purely nostalgia. For me, for many years as a kid, Jiminy Cricket was Disney World in the evening.

Jiminy being the host of Wishes was an idea carried over from SpectroMagic, and for a time you'd hear his voice in both shows in the same night. It was part of a longer tradition that included TV specials that had him as host too (like "From All of Us to All of You").

It was a touch of old fashioned Disney, but tonally wouldn't fit with HEA.

I was mainly referring to the parade and fireworks, I will say I do enjoy the Hocus Pocus show. Now the Mickeys Most Merriest stage show is garbage, but some may disagree.

Agreed. I love Hocus Pocus, because it’s a big, full production with a coherent story. It feels like a complete show.

Most Merriest is just a mishmash of nonsense. I wish they’d bring back Celebrate the Season, which had a fun and catchy song and great costumes.

But I digress.

Maybe Jiminy could have been given new life as the voice of Disney if the live-action remake of Pinocchio wasn't so awful.

Disneyland Paris fit permanent LED's to its turrets. Fairly impressive at night and largely invisible during the day. They'd look really good replicated over.

For me I have no intentions on going to another Halloween party until they add new things like replace the parade and nighttime show. I get everyone loves that parade but it’s way overdue to be replaced with something new. The Christmas party honestly isn’t any better and needs big improvements. Them retiring the castle lights were a major disappointment. But since im big on Christmas I still enjoy going to the party.

I agree with you. I'm getting to the point where we don't see any value in the parties. Boo-To-You needs to be replaced. New floats are desperately needed. The majority of the floats used are recycled from other parades. The fireworks show is not great either. It's basically a projection show with a few fireworks thrown in. For the price charged the entertainment should be updated regularly. The in-park decorations are several years old as well with nothing new being added with the exception of the Cinderella coaches on the light post that really didn't fit the theme.

The Christmas party at least in my opinion has the better parade. The Christmas fireworks are still kind of blah. I wasn't a fan of the orchestrations, but the show is still better than the Halloween offering. Magic Kingdom desperately needs a new Christmas tree. Hopefully they make some changes soon, but as long as people are willing to pay for the current offerings, I don't see them being in any hurry.

They (were) integrated pretty much the same way in Minnies Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks finale, except it fades upwards I guess.

Very short lived tho as it only had one holiday season before the 2020 events and then 50th stuff.

Right. The projections are certainly not a hindrance.

Also, the Frozen show they use to turn them on is super popular. Well, was. And would still be.
