I'll chime in with it, you should do it at least once.

Nothing we had for last year in December said free photo.

Another thought since you are going to be there for 10 days, you may want to take one day and do a tour of the resorts. We did this in 2005. Some of the resorts you might want to see, Grand Floridian (ginger bread house great), BC resort (ginger bread & Candy carrosel), AKL has some great decorations, Polynessian cute small ginger bread. We ended the day at WL with dinner at Whispering Canyons. The kids even enjoyed it.

Have a great time.

I did the Yuletide Fantasy Tour last year and it was great. I'm taking my mom to do it this year.

DISNEY'S YULETIDE FANTASY

Almost magically, Walt Disney World Resort transforms into a holiday headquarters complete with millions of sparking lights, larger-than-life Christmas trees and miles of garland. Guests take a behind the scenes peek at that magical transformation in Disney's Yuletide Fantasy, a three-hour journey into the holiday history of Walt Disney World Resort.

Guests take guided tours to theme parks and resort hotels, learning stories about the themes of the Yuletide decorations and how Disney elves transform the parks and hotels into an annual winter wonderland. Disney's Yuletide Fantasy is open to ages 16 and older (guests under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult), and theme park admission is not required.

The program is $69 per person, NO theme park admission required

This is the information on Allearsnet.com.

We went last year on one of the sold out nights and didn't have the greatest of times. I like MNSSHP better. I plan on going again this year on one of the slower nights in early Dec. I wish they would just get rid of the party all together and celebrate the Holidays like DL does. Or at least go back to ending the parties on the 15th.

I always enjoy seeing the characters dressed in their holiday wear for some reason even if it's only stocking caps and scarves on CHIP n' DALE!

I definitely enjoyed the Christmas parade at MK...the snow on Main Street really does make the night feel magical.

Might I also suggest doing some resort hopping to check out all the decorated and themed lobbies. We were at Yacht Club one year and they had a huge gingerbread house and small Xmas village. Very cool stuff!

Tickets are on sale NOW! Just purchased tickets for Nov 16, 2007. Our first time going to MVMCP and can't wait.:xmas:

Did you have to call directly to purchase because the Disney website is only giving me the option of Halloween, Night of Joy, and Pirates/Princesses? I want to hurry and get mine for December and have only had time on the computer without being able to call directly.

The same thing happened when I tried to buy them on line, so I called last Tuesday the 1st, got them ordered and I recieved them yesterday, the 9th, in the mail. I have never done the MMVCP before and the tickets are really neat. They are like credit cards but they all have a different scene and quote on them. I was so excited to get one with Cinderella since she is my daughters favorite character. I got 1 Cinderella and her prince, 1 Incredibles, and 2 different scenes with Mickey, Donald and Goofy(one of them flying thru the air over the castle like Peter Pan and the other one with them in the teacups). I hope they let us keep them for momento's. Just remember when you order them, you must pay for them right then so have your credit card ready.

I went the same exact time last year and it was my first Christmas disney trip so I had the same questions. We just did everything because we didn't want to miss anything.

My favorite activity was the MGM lights spectacular - it was amazing. It's a walkthrough, there is no line, and while crowds weren't terrible that week, that event was packed. If you wait about 30 minutes to an hour after the light walkthrough opens instead of going right away you will enjoy it more because the crowd disperses. They make it snow there too =) Also, that attraction is not extra money, it's part of your park ticket.

Mickey's Christmas Party was my other favorite thing. My suggestion there is not to do that the same day you spend all day at the magic kingdom because you've already done most of the rides by the time the evening begins. You've seen the parades & Wishes already, so it takes away from the uniqueness of the Christmas stuff. Take advantage of the low crowds that week & go on the rides between 4 and midnight.

Like others said - many characters are out in their Christmas clothes, especially in Toon town, it's worth waiting in line for =)

Have a good time!!
