I am very suprised that some higher ups at Disney have not banned giving out the little round Disney stickers to kids. Everywhere you go..... people litter the park and attractions with them.... and in the Florida heat, its Hell to get them off.

Have you ever experienced the joy and excitement of the kids when they get them? I don't think they will disappear any too soon.

When I first gave those out I was amazed at how people reacted. To a 20 year old college kid giving out stickers was part of the job. To the kids and parents that got them it was like you gave them a winning lottery ticket.

I totally agree..I say someone should go throughout the WORLD and take pics of these being slapped in the most pointless places...In Fact...I can start one out...This one was stuck on the ground right by the Buzz Lightyear Meet & Greet in TL..:brick:

I dont think the sticker trash is that excessive in the parks. I know everytime they would hand them out we would take them and wear them.

For my birthday this year, a CM ripped off a long section of the stickers from her roll and told me to give them out to whomever I wanted - just a bit of birthday magic. It was SO fun. I gave all of them out in like 8 minutes.

As a parent while my kids to enjoy them I wish they would stop. I can't ask the CM to not give them to my kids when they have them out but they annoy me to no end. They seem to manage to get on everything.

I noticed on my Wife's video of us on Dumbo... she was doing a video of us in front of her in the dumbo behind us and then I saw a sticker on the video stuck on the control panel...

It did not worry too much since we are getting a brand new Double Dumbo attraction....

Yes the stickers are places they shouldn't be, but at least they are Disney stickers. It's not like they are offensive or ugly.

Stickers are part of the magical experience. They are cheap to buy and give out from a business stand-point, especially for the amount of happiness they provide. Stickers for kids, as stated similarly above, is like giving an adult $100.

They area God-send for many parents and a great surprise for most kids. Adults that receive them, feel somewhat like a kid again and those stickers pop up in conversations with kids all the time.

From a clean up stand point, they don't stick all that well so they are easy to peel off walls, concrete, and props.

They are also great mementos. Some parents and children ask for them for their scrapbooks. I've also seen many families with wheelchairs with them plastered all over their chairs. One little girl that comes every other year makes it a goal to collect as many as possible to keep her chair covered in them because she loves Disney so much. Obviously, with all the exposure to the elements and wear and tear, they don't last forever, so she needs to keep adding more.

So, you HAVE to love those stickers. Without them, you know that someone would complain they were gone.

Being one of the CMs that have to clean them up, I can tell you that they are NOT easy to get off. These areas include the TP dispensers in the restrooms, textured concrete, wallpaper and on floors where hundreds of guests walk over. As far as gum goes, it does little to no good for Disney to not sell gum in the parks when they sell other candy that has the same effect when it's dropped. Those little Mickey gummies and spree candies are the worst. Every night in the Soarin' queue it takes 3 CMs two hours to remove candy/gum off the floor before they do their regular cleaning.

my kids love 'em. I hate them. I hate that little kids feel the need to stick them everywhere. Some may find this mean but, at home, my kids are not allowed to have stickers unless doing art crafts. They stick them EVERYWHERE and they are a PITA to get off. Furniture, TV screens, carpet, doors, mirrors, etc. I wanted to scream when my son plastered the back seat window in my truck with about 20 of them. The goo is still there *sigh*

Wow, well, I was once a custodial CM as well and had to clean them up. I guess it is just a matter of opinion and depends on the situation. I always found them easy to peel up although I admit the hardest surface to get them off was TP dispensers.

Just thought of this thread while at work today when I found a Mickey sticker on the wall outside of the bakery in Norway. :brick:

This, the reaction when anyone gets them is immense (even when I've gotten them, :ROFLOL:), but they really have to enforce the littering rules on these as well, it gets quite annoying. Either that, or everyone should cover Main Street into them until they notice.
