i just want to know if it's worth paying the price to go? There are 5 in our party . Two adults , and three kids ages 17, 8, and 3.. Would they enjoy it ? Is it fun ? What time should we get there ? Just wondering ;) any advice would be helpful . Thanks so much ;)

Yes, it's worth it and yes it's fun (was more so when you could dress up, but I digress). It depends on what you want to go for though.
There are many things to do in 5 hours technically(7-midnight is when everything is really up and running). But you are allowed to enter with your special Halloween party "hard ticket" at 4 that day. There is trick or treating, rare character meet and greets, special fireworks and the most awesome parade. And special lighting etc.

Yes, it's definitely worth it, IMO. It's my family's favorite event in WDW. Get there at 4, get something to eat so you don't waste any party time eating. Check out the character meet & greet list beforehand, and prioritize who you would like to see the most. Some of the waits gets fairly long. The Seven Dwarfs m&g, and Jack & Sally m&g's were our favorites. The whole atmosphere is really cool, I would highly recommend checking it out!

I thought adults could dress up now? Maybe I read that wrong.

we have reservations at 3:45 at the crystal palace.. I figured that would be good if we eat then so we can have fun after at the party.. I wish they would release the ticket pricing.. sounds like fun!

The parties have been increasingly more crowded. I would say that the previous years pricing still makes it worth it. But, if they raise the price much more than last year I wouldn't pay it.

However, the party days are usually good days to go to the Magic Kingdom since a lot of people don't want to "waste" a day when the park closed early.

we are planning on going to mk that day and to the party that night.. I hope that the kids aren't too tired, but I'm sure they'll have fun! Maybe a nap in between the party and the park :)

Adults can dress up, it just discourages layered costumes, because of extra security screenings. No play weapons either. Dressing up makes the partys so much more fun. I love it!

When did they change the rules back that adults can dress up? They changed them earlier this year/late last year that said no more.

It's a "can't miss" event for me when I'm at WDW in October. My favorite parade at WDW. And the best Wishes fireworks show.

We've been the last 3 years and we all dress up (well except last year because it was too hot)! I think it is worth the ticket price just to have practically no wait times for the rides. We might be in the minority, but we don't go to any parks during the day, instead we spend the day relaxing so that the kids aren't too tired for the party. Last year we rode more rides at the party (we got there at 4 and left during the fireworks) than we did in a morning on a party day. I also don't like wasting a park ticket since the party ticket is separate.
You guys will have a blast!
