Mickey Mouse Ears?

Hey beautiful disney people!

I have a serious and tough (well, maybe) question for you...

While in orlando next weekend, the only park my b/f and I will be able to visit will be animal kingdom, and I am in need of some mickey ears .... you know, the generic black ears that you can have your name embriodered on the back of? like the classic mickey mouse club wore?

can I get those in animal kingdom? and if not, can I get them anywhere in downtown disney? I know they are available at the hat shop right on mainstreet but I won't be able to get to the magic kingdom and I wanted to buy a pair as a gift for a friend.

The regular black Mickey Mouse ears can be PURCHASED in any of the 4 theme parks and in Downtown Disney. However, there are only 3 places where you can get a name embroidered on the back, and they are:

The Chapeau, Main Street USA, Magic Kingdom
Head to Toe, Hollywood Blvd., Disney-MGM Studios
Disney's Days of Christmas, Downtown Disney Marketplace

The embroidery service is no longer free, sadly. I believe the charge is $2 at The Chapeau, where they embroider the names the traditional way, and $6 at the other 2 locations, where they use a computer and you can choose from a variety of fonts and thread colors.

I think they just have child, adult, and infant sizes. But a few bobby pins work wonders at keeping them on, especially if you feel like they just don't quite stretch far enough to do so themselves.

I bought a Mickey Sorcerer's Hat (the blue one with stars and ears) and it fits my rather large head fine...

I have the same problem - never been able to wear the ears.

Me either. They always fall off. It has always been the most depressing fact about going to WDW for me. I always have to wear the Minnie Mouse ears on a headband instead. Those start to hurt after a while. I think us large headed people need to start a petition to WDW and demand bigger mouse ears! :lol: :lookaroun

The best thing to do is buy your ears at Downtown Disney (World of Disney Store) and run them over to the Christmas store to be embroidered. Then go have dinner and by the time you're done eating, the ears will be done!
