Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway - Disneyland

Does a gift shop for the ride exist in DL? The one at WDW is a really pathetic pop-up shop stuffed in a corner at the ride's exit.
Yes.

This is another “what were they thinking” moment…

They should have closed DLs Splash first to coincide with MMRR opening and then closed WDWs Splash to coincide with Trons opening. It would have offset lost capacity and shifted the focus to the new rides rather than then negativity surrounding closing a popular ride.

There must have been construction related reasons not to do this because even (often clueless) Disney couldn’t be this clueless.

This can’t be stated enough. No rides/attractions were replaced for this and we have a very detailed and fantastic queue to admire. Doesn’t really matter if the ride itself is meh. We’ve lost nothing.

Win, win, win.
Except…(Grumpy mode activate!) .. something better coulda… (Grumpy mode fail!) awww… you’re right. It’s a cute addition that took away nothing.

Will have to look closer at the queue… but I am ‘not’ a fan of Mickey Mouse Works/House of Mouse continuously being ignored & erased from history… when it was such a good show and an important part of Mickey’s history in regards to television animation. So much so it’s not even mentioned in the new documentary movie nor recent history booklets which is total BS.

One of the biggest reasons I’ve absolutley loathed both the new shorts ‘and’ Clubhouse/Funhouse. They’ve either outright essentially made fun of or dilluted the soul of the Mickey & Friends character so much to the point it’s become a parody. Sad. Even Epic Mickey & Get an Horse were executed & have much more timeless appeal than the new Rudish shorts. Wouldn’t be such a big deal to me if they continued to push productions in styles of that nature that are well-balanced & appealing to everybody… but yeah, seems to not be the case anymore sadly. Either it’s strictly overly edgy & gross to the point it basically only appeals to a memeing crowd or edgy teen or adults who don’t like Disney or so pandering & soulless, it comes off as a Dora clone only preschoolers can get behind… one of my biggest pet peeves.

Very true. And honestly I think it’s well placed as it’s very much in the spirit of an elevated RRCT. Great queue building to a very solid dark ride.

All indications are this is a great family addition not only for Toon Town but also fitting with the Disney100 celebration. I’d challenge people to find a more densely packed theme park in the USA in terms of sheer e-ticket level attractions than Disneyland park.

I know some don't love it, but I think it is such a great attraction. Feels classic Disney. Great music, and flow. I think the Disneyland version does actually flow better, the transition out of the water scene into the city, the added hallway after the factory / park scene, which gives you a fun new Goofy moment.

Love it.

The hallway was such a nice touch to slow the ride down after almost getting pancaked and really get a nice reveal of the park and the picnic. I'm really pleased with how much the pacing has improved (though I wish we still had the bit of storm drain to properly transition us from the ocean to the cityscape, but that's me nitpicking).

Personally, I think RRCS is a lot more fun, creative and re-rideable than MMRR. Better use of space and budget, too.
