I’m hoping we get at least some of the new mountain backdrop before the land closes. I’d love to get a rough idea of how it will all look. Some construction updates courtesy of MiceChat
Obviously can't say much since the hills have yet to be installed, but I'm worried about the scale; those mountains behind Minnie's House look awfully large.
For my money, Disney generally does a great job at perspective, so I'm not worried... yet.Obviously can't say much since the hills have yet to be installed, but I'm worried about the scale; those mountains behind Minnie's House look awfully large.
Yeah. The only view would be from the train and expect they will put up a scrim on the TT side like they did on the bridge over the entrance to Galaxy's Edge near Hungry Bear.Once closed, I suspect this redo will be very hard to keep progress of from guest view.
DCA would have a large number of rides and shows if they built out instead of retheming over the last 20 years.Crazy that Disneyland with its already stacked ride roster got ROTR, Falcon and MMMR too. Any space they have for Disneyland Forward if it ever does happen should just go all to DCA.
I remember reading it was supposed to be located on the "Little Mermaid" expansion plot in Fantasyland.where would mmrr in paris have gone? They should still build it, but put it in DSP cause they def need more rides. Put IJ in DLP and MMR in DSP, that would be cool imo
I had really hoped (indeed, still hope) that the ride would be part of a Toontown area (if only a small one) and not part of Fantasyland itself. It's clearly based around European fairy tales. As such, Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway really has no place in Fantasyland.I remember reading it was supposed to be located on the "Little Mermaid" expansion plot in Fantasyland.

I think its great too. The pavement was such a bad look for the land and the land is so run down (and lacks shade). This is great news.Me either. It's going to be great, I'm sure.
This project is fantastic for Disneyland overall, and a surprising way to reboot an aging and nearly forgotten land (Toontown). I love it!
It also cements Disneyland's place as the company's flagship park with the most rides and attractions in the world. It will be at least 20 or 30 years before any other Disney theme park could catch up, if that even happens at any time.
Fingers crossed they take the opportunity to get rid of the Jolly Trolley tracks too; no use keeping them there for folks to constantly trip on when the trolley's never coming back. The concept art seemed to show a more modern pedestrian feel sans-trolley so I hope that's the case.I think its great too.
