Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway - Disneyland

What do you have against the boat? It could be the new Captain Hook's tuna restaurant. It could be turned into a fast food place with premade sandwiches and soda bottles. They could sell hot dogs in there too. It's just a place to move all the city hall food court stuff.

Well, we don't know what's happening with the space back there. This is all speculation. Besides, I don't think there's enough room for it to become a restaurant.

Not counter service with a full kitchen but it could be market-type store. Speculation is what we do here.

Well, there needs to be an eatery of some kind here. If they were to get rid of the actual counter service spaces for queue space for the ride, there wouldn't be any legitimate spaces here. Granted, they're not big restaurants, but they are counter services with tables nearby. I would think that they should retain something like it for the refresh.

I guess they could put some tables behind the boat near the waterfall. Otherwise tables would need to be on the street in front of the boat. Just trying to think where Captain Hook had tables. I think they were mostly inside I think but that won't work here.

I think they can get away keeping the eateries. Some seating area will be lost to the entrance to the new ride, but they could always shuffle the restrooms to the Jolly Trolly barn, and use the gas station for additional seating.

It would be pretty wasteful to get rid of a perfectly good kitchen, especially when it’s next to a new ride that will draw in guests to a, currently, less visited area of the park.

Is it actually a kitchen in there or just a place to store food to sell out the window? I don't think the pizzas are made there.

The pizzas have to be made somewhere. It's not like they serve it cold, do they? Mind you, I haven't gotten pizza from there, but I have gotten pizza from Alien Pizza Planet.

Centralized food service is widely employed by theme parks. Items are prepared in a large central kitchen, transported to the venue and then finished when ordered. Pizza is a great example of an item that can be made in advance and then reheated when ordered. You only need a small, counter-top pizza oven to serve pre-made pizza.

Well, even the Toontown eateries need a way to reheat the pizza, don't they?

Also, how can they be delivered elsewhere without disturbing the guests?

You've never noticed the people delivering things to various areas of the park? There are employees moving big trailers around. It's not hard to put in a small oven to reheat pizza.

You can reheat with a counter-top pizza oven. Even the ovens used by the big pizza chains are not very big.

The pre-prepared food would hopefully be delivered in the morning before opening. Items can also be moved around backstage whenever possible if they do need to be moved during the day.
