Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party 2024

I suspect the early dates are going to sell out fast. The 3 park ticket deal is the perfect compliment to doing one party day. Paying around 400 for all four parks and not needing genie plus on the party day is a decent deal that I think a ton of people will utilize.

I admit to being super annoyed about the fact that the last two years our last day at MK was a party day so we'd get booted out early.
Ahh. But the trade off is far less wait times for attractions, meaning you could get more done on a party day than a non-party day. Yes, I'm aware you still miss out on fireworks but crowd levels during the day tend to be less than non-party days.

The real outrage should be over the fact that the first Boo to You will begin 6 minutes after sunset. Daytime Boo to You?!?!
The promotion is it's all about the kiddos. But seriously, you're going to pay for a party that starts at 7 then leave after the 8:15 parade?

What NOT to do during the party. HINT: If you want a dining reservation, make one between 4:00 and 7:00pm, preferably to end before 7pm. Otherwise, for any of these, you're wasting party time. Of course, that's why Disney schedules them. To get more of your money with less for you to do.

Here's my modification to that plan if you have just the party ticket and aren't a APer...

Since you can get into the park at 4 and start riding rides... using 4-6 as dinnertime is also a bit of a waste.
I'd make a reservation at 2 PM at one of the restaurants on the monorail loop (or FWL). Then go to MK to get in at 4:30.

Why 4:30? Because people start lining up at 3 PM and the plaza in front of the tapstyles become a crowded hot mess. It literally fills the space. But by 4:30, the crowd is gone and you can just walk straight in.

Now, if you have an AP and a party ticket, then definitely get into the park before 3 PM, or, after 4:30 PM.

As a rule: Never show up on a party night between 3:00 - 4:30 PM.

Speaking of which, no CBJ? I just realized that.

Disney didn't list them all, just added "and more".

I have never known an attraction list for a hard ticket event to correctly list all the available attractions at first.

It takes panicked guests to call up CS and ask, "I'm going to this event and my favorite ride/attraction isn't listed, will it be open for the event?"

And after several hundred calls asking the same question, they update the list.

I think people let the kiddos watch and then fall asleep in the stroller. We did that when the boys were 3 and the 9:15 parade was a real stretch. They were passed out by fireworks time. 8:15 would have led to fewer tears.

Meanwhile, last year they were dragging us on a walk-on Big Thunder at 11:30 pm!

Your rule only applies if you don't have Pixie Dust pass which I have. I'm thinking of going 10/27 for the very reason it's on Sunday night . So I wouldn't be able to get in any earlier than 4pm.

Sweltering costumes plus Sugar plus 95 Degree Heat with 135% humidity takes its toll on the kids....and the adults.

Yes
So uh, “villains roaming”…I’m assuming this means more of the distanced “sightings”? Not a Disneyland-style stroll around the park? Either way, though I’d prefer the latter, definitely a HUGE improvement

Tiana now removed from list of attractions available.

Of course, "Entertainment offerings, available attractions and experiences are subject to change."
Sounds like someone jumped the gun. This type of thing doesn’t “accidentally” appear out of thin air. It was on some internal list of actual offerings used to populate the app copy.

I can’t unsee what I’ve seen, Disney!

If it opens "Summer 2024", surely it opens before August 9. Now, by their removing it from the attractions list, people are going to think Tiana won't be ready by then.

Because people are obsessive, paranoid, and don’t do work at work post-pandemic.

I’m working right now!

Disneyland style roaming would be acceptable. Distanced "sightings" just annoy me.

They want me to pay 119-199 dollars and I can't even actually stand next to Maleficent.
