Michael C. (aka Tigger) suspended

The thing about this case that gets me mad is the pictures in the WDWMagic gallery that show a guy wearing/holding various peices of the costume. While I don[t even thing this should have gone on in the court room, there is no reason it should have been on TV... [link]

Anyways.. I also agree that this guy is probably being treated unfairly, and his life is ruined, basically, because of one event that probably didn't even happen.. just someone who wanted a reason to sue Disney and make a few dollars, and now some guy's life is ruined...

Yeah. Poor Michael Chartrand.

When will everyone learn to leave him alone, give him a break and get off his back?!

You know what just maybe these CM's did...just for fun. They could have gone on the 'Cast Portal' and seen his schedule for that week..So then they decided to give him a little visit..

I mean what are the chances of the SAME guy..just playing a different character?

sounds fishy to me.... :lookaroun

I second that. Sounds like the poor guy was just doing his job as Goofy and folks decide it was battery. Geez........

Yes it does sound very odd. Lets just think about it: He is a free man, but everyone still remembers and some don't want him there, as said before. The other people might have started it with him because they thought it was their friend, and the story might be a "he said, they said" situation. Considering his trial, Michael is already at a disadvantage. This looks like it was done deliberatly almost, sort of a way to get rid of him.

Only entertainment can look at entertinament schedules, if you work in a different dept you cant.

I think this whole thing is ridiculous. He was obviously kidding when he "shoved" these employees, and being kodak people i don't even really consider them cast members. It's just easy for them to start crap up because of recent events. and another not, how do you molest a child in a suit, fondling is the proper term.

Wrong! You can look at the schedules under the entertainment link under character schedules. Know what your talking about.

It's under the Walt Disney World tab, under Walt Disney Entertainment, characters, character schedules and it let us look at current weeks and next weeks. Yes u can.

Well my boyfriend can not acess that on his cast portal account to look at my schedule we can only go on my account and look at it. And do Kodak employees even have acess to the portal.

If there actualy disney cast members and not just kodak people then yes, but I don't know. I think it's highly unlikely anyway that someone would check someones schedule just to get them in trouble or start a scene.

It will be truly tragic if this is a case of someone with an agenda against this young man. Oftentimes, those who successfully win back their jobs after a suspension soon find they are dismissed for other reasons. Proving himself this time will be even more difficult. Here's a wish that the truth will prevail, whatever that may be.

Orange Co. SO has more stuff on him and plenty that was not allowed into the court room. He is still in big trouble and they haven't forgotten about this case.

By the way, his lawyer did a great job defending him. Top notch defense!

Please dont just drop a bomb like that and say nothing, do you know what they have on him? If so please share. I can believe that people would be gunning for a guy in his position but if there is more info out there that can be said and is not all of us can only ASSume what is going on.

I can't access Entertainment schedules from my home computer. Maybe it's like some of the things that you can't access (like Outlook from Portal) from home.

Like I said before, I think he needs to get a new job away from WDW. He is a marked person there as many other castmembers don't want him there. If I were him I wouldn't have gone back after the trial.

This sounds like they're just trying to get him out now, following the failure of the case against him and the fact that they were then obligated to return him to his job.

As this report at BBC News says in this quote from his Tigger Case lawyer he was just doing what he is employed to do.
"I knew for Michael it would be tough for him to go back. I told him he would be a walking bull's-eye."
I'd be interested to know where he was playing Goofy as we were there at around the time he was suspended and everytime was saw Goofy he was his normal, goofy self!
