MGM's Halloween Horrors?

Call me crazy but I just don't think this is too great of an idea. I just think that they should leave this sort of stuff to Universal and the amusement parks. To me Disney seems "better" than to have scareactors running around the parks and to have haunted houses or mazes. This is just my opinion they just seem so "amusement park"-ish. I know Universal Orlando has THEME parks (and I will gladly spend one of my "Disney" days at IOA) but they are aiming for a younger crowd anyways. As I can tell most of you want to see this at WDW but I just don't like the idea. Just my opinion though.

If Disney does do this, they need to make it clear that the MGM event is a more "adult oriented" experience, and still have the Halloween Party at MK for the familes and little ones.

Trust me people will STILL get confused and they will complain. I know ALL ABOUT THIS

You are thinking the wrong Fab 5. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy and Goofy are also known as the Fab 5. They were the ones I were referring to.

I'm really gonna kick myself here...

Was I wrong...I thought the Fab 5 was...

Mickey
Minnie
Donald
Goofy
Pluto

(It's Daisy and not Pluto?)

I always thought they'd be better off shutting down Pleasure Island on select nights and making that a horror filled "theme park" experience. Extend it into some of the Marketplace area where Fulton's Crab Shack is, etc.

I mean, it's already themed to adults...the only problem I see...is size.

the official Fab 5 are actually 7.... lol

Mickey
Minnie
Donald
Goofy
Pluto
Chip
Dale

Fab 7 doesn't have the same ring as 5, does it ;)

Now THERE'S an idea. I wouldn't want this type of stuff at the theme parks but at Pleasure Island wouldn't bother me a bit. Acutally that type of entertainment would probably fit in well over at Pleasure Island.

I also think this is a great idea! I don't think Walt's vision included walking dead people in his parks, but Pleasure Island is already adults only so I can see this happening there!

You don't need chainsaws or Dead people to scare. You can use yhe Twilight Zone kinda scare or Alfred Hitchcock type also.

Will be great to have a Dark Abiance and Dark Rides to go along with. And with the Soundstages to house stuff, will be a great experience.

Why not ask to use like Addams Family or use some of the other movies that have that Dark feeling like Reigh of Fire and have "Dragons" shooting and breathing fire over some of the buildings.

Or some PA hidden with sounds and scary stuff. Hey Miramax, Touchtone, Hollywood Pictures must have some line of scary movies (no pun intended)

A lot of parks have gone to a Haunted House theme at Halloween.

PKI has a kids Halloween during the day that includes a train ride to a pumpkin patch, another train ride to a pumpkin painting, face painting, activity center, and a Halloween parade for the kids in costumes on select weekends in October.

The adult activities, called Fear Fest, begin at dusk, with characters walking around in various states of hideousness (like that's a real word) and a series of traditional haunted houses and 3-d attractions. It is free to pass holders and an additional charge for those without a pass. It's often used to entice people to buy the next years pass so they get Fear Fest free.

All in all, the kids and adult activities are pretty good, and at the prices, it's like getting 6 haunted attractions for the price of 1 or 2.

I do not see why something like this wouldn't work in the backlot area of MGM or as mentioned, in Pleasure Island (call it Zombie Island).
