I found Mezzo Mix at my local Wegmans in Buffalo! It was in the international food section, definitely seems imported. The ingredients and all the writing are in German and there is a sticker with English ingredients/description. $1.98 for a can is a little pricey, but I'll do it at least this once. Tastes like Epcot!

Nice find, but for $1.98 per can, I expect it to come with a personal valet who is able to rub the soreness out of my feet at the end of a long day.

Very cool find, but it is much cheaper to mix Coca-Cola and Fanta Orange. This combination is what spawned Mezzo Mix as a stand alone drink and is done when restaurants do not carry actual Mezzo Mix.

The new Coke Freestyle machines also allow you to add Orange flavoring to Coca-Cola, which should give you a similar beverage as well

I'm intrigued because I glanced at the actual German for the ingredients and it seems like they really use orange juice concentrate for the flavoring. I will be experimenting at some point.

As for the price point... it will give me about the same amount of enjoyment as a $2 coffee from Tim Horton's or Starbucks. It's a fun splurge, not a replacement for a 79 cent 2 liter bottle of generic pop. Besides, I have to save my money for the Strongbow cider from the Rose & Crown that I found at the same store. :)

The mixture of Coca Cola und Fanta is actually also a decades old recipe in Berlin (as Fanta is a German wartime invention), called "Spezi". You can order it in any pub, café, bar etc. in Berlin.

I had to order my MezzoMix from a specialty food importer in the U.S., and of course pay through the nose for shipping... I've tried mixing regular orange juice into Coca-Cola and that gives a very similar taste, if you don't have Fanta in your fridge...

While those machines are really neat (they just put one in at a a Moes near us), the Coke+Orange isn't quite Mezzo Mix. Some flavorings were better than others, but the orange was kinda flat.

Now where is that Beverly? :lookaroun
