Man, I LOVE Christmas, but the world sure has gone NUTS this year... I mean, we were just past October (and celebrating Halloween DOWN HERE, of all things! Some people have no personality...) and all of a sudden I'm getting e-mails with Xmas sales, one apartment near here already has a full set lit up on its windows and malls are throwing Santa down your throat by the dozens!!

Not to mention TV already talking about Carnaval, which is in FEBRUARY!!! :lookaroun :dazzle: And then people get surprised when some say they're fed with the season... The stores are gonna have Christmas start in October next year, I swear. I'm sorry, but it's too early, I just can't get in the spirit knowing it's November.

One store around here started putting out Christmas decorations in August!!! Now I love Christmas as much as the next person, but not when I'm doing "back to school" shopping!

I too will be working that day. Store opens at 6:00 a.m. and will be open until 11:00 p.m. They are feeding us a Day-After-Thanksgiving-Feast on what is known as BLACK FRIDAY.

I'll be shoppping the day after Thanksgiving!!:sohappy: Our mall opens at 1am. :D Not that I'm there THAT early. It's tradition though to go on the day after Thanksgiving for my mom and I even if we've finished our shopping. lol It's the sport of it. We have to get our Christmas flavored coffee at Barnies, look at how long the line waiting to get into the toy store is and feel glad that we're NOT in it. ect. What fun!

Oh, I LOVE that movie "A Christmas Story". There's a sequal that I've only seen once and cannot remember the name of it. TBS played it a few years ago and I haven't seen it since. Does anyone know?

Another one of my fav Christmas movies is National Lampoons Christmas Vacation. I watch it every Christmas Eve. I also love The Santa Clause. :)

I'm so glad it isn't just me who is Christmas obsessed! *breathes sigh of relief* My lights are about 1/4 done outside, and inside I have set up my NEW Mickey toontown Christmas village! :sohappy: I plan to do some more in the house today, since nothing will be done outside. VERY windy.

Two years ago I got to work my first Black Friday (I usually don't even leave the house that day). I was working at our local Outlet Mall, Woodbury Commons.
It opened at 7am and was to be open till 11pm. All employees were to park in the local park & ride in the next town (!) and a shuttle was to bring you in and back. I got dropped off early at the mall and hiked in to my store. (at 6:30 the lines were unbeleivable and most were out of towners who had travelled for hours)

I worked till 4 with only one 1/2 hr break for lunch (thank god I brought it with me). My ride made it into the parking lot by 4:30 (had tried since 3:30) and we didn't make it out of the lot until 7pm!!! We got home at 7:30 (and only because we knew the back roads!)

I will never go out on Black Friday again...even if they are giving the stuff away for free!!!

(and the shuttle bus never showed up for most of the morning runs and it was almost a 5 mile walk for those poor folks who finally made it in)

I was born on Black Friday! Hehe, I'll have to do it alone this year, since my family's going to North Carolina for a wedding. Woohoo, free Disney snowglobes! Has anyone ever been to Best Buy on Black Friday? AH! :hammer:

Black Friday is the biggest shopping day of the year, the day after Thanksgiving. Imagine the crowd exiting Fantasmic in a mall.
