Trip Report Merry Christmas You Filthy Animals! A Live Christmas Trip With The Inlaws.

You all knew this was coming, just a down and dirty live TR with the inlaws this Christmas week. So, strap in and get ready because here we go...

Naturally I told the folks we would be leaving at 05:00 this morning so be ready. You can see one guy didn't want us leaving. We were up at 04:25 and all packed and ready....except the MIL. She seemed to want to play the "let's see how many things we can touch in the house before leaving" game. My crew was ready to roll by 04:50 but we had to wait until about ten after five before her game was over... a quick stop at dunkin donuts and we were well on our way. We hit the half way spot, Tifton, about 09:00 to gas up and hit the restrooms. Over the hump and determined we pulled into the Panara Bread on 192 about 12:30 for lunch. While we ate I got the text our room was ready!!

So, there's a story behind this CM's facial expression. This guest was explaining (read: complaining) about how busy Disney was and comparing to Easter, Thanksgiving, etc. She was saying that WDW was so bad that she didn't get back to her resort until 4 am the following morning . The CM clearly didn't buy her story. This was his face when she said 4 am.

Heading to EC now. Hopefully we can make the mad rush for "Frozen: The Cursed Ruins of Maelstrom" with everyone else. Before we left we got a visit from some new friends.

I've got a few minutes to spare while we wait for FEA and I just noticed I didn't post a our GMR pics from last night. We had an excellent host, also named Sean, who made for a most entertaining guide.

I'll say this, the queue for FEA is well done. Laura really seemed to like the ride the DD was "meh"about it though.

Here are the remaining pics from FEA including our ride pic. That is genuine happiness on Laura's face. Mine, well...I may have been acting it up. After FEA we tried the school bread for the first time, I mean everyone raves about them. Well we are NOT fans of the school bread. There is something unusual about them. Anyway, we're back at the DVC Lounge relaxing and recharging, figuratively and literally, before our Soarin FP. Stopped by Starbucks to pick the DD up a Danish and hot chocolate.

Good to know about the school bread. School Bread is on my list of "still need to do" at Disney. I'll still give it a try next year. I'm a coconut girl though so I'm hoping it's as good as they say.

Well the kicker for us is there is rosemary, I believe, in the bread that really throws off the sweet/savory balance. I was expecting sweet coconut and cream but was hit with rosemary. Not terrible by any means just not expected or something I want to repeat.

I really liked it. It was worth waiting in the stand by queue, but only once.

After some coffee and snacks we said goodbye to the DVC Lounge and made our way towards the Land pavilion for our Soarin FPs. This was our DD’s first time riding it since the change and she was really impressed. I still say Soarin over California is better than Soarin over CGI. I think TT must have gone down too because its wait time was over 90 minutes AND LWTL had a wait time equal to the Soarin wait time!! After our brief flight we took to the WS. I made a pit stop in Canada for a La Fin before joining the Ladies in the UK. We then made our way over to Morocco and looked around for a bit. On our way we passed a wedding going on in front of the France pavilion. As you can see I made a few friends while in Morocco.

What do you guys think of the Go Pro? I vaguely remember you guys saying that it was your first time using it on your last trip. Are you still using it? Any pros and cons you can think of? I'm loving the pics too!
