Meeting Tink

We will be at WDW in September and all of the kids on our group (except maybe the 13 year old boy) can't wait to meet Tink. They've always wondered why you couldn't meet her before. Has anyone here met her yet? How long was the wait? What time do we need to get in line so that we aren't waiting forever with 6 kids?

You should be in line as soon as toontown is open (10am). I would probably go as far as to wait for the rope to drop at toontown. The fairies line gets VERY long (the shortest I've heard is an hour, the longest 3+ hours). If you're there right at opening you have a good chance of a manageable wait time.

To further this, I would say to take the train around to Toon Town. You will be waiting with less people on that side, and you get another, often missed, attraction done.

Yep, we met all the disney faries at Toontown in MK this past Dec. Unfortunately, we had a long wait to meet them. I'm talking an hour and half! Well worth it though!

And I would get there by 9:30. Sometimes they can open a little bit early...like around 9:45.

Yup, that happened to us last December. We sauntered over to ToonTown around 9:55 a.m., only to find everything open and the fairies already had a 45 minute wait! (scheduled opening was 10:00)

Wow! Guess we will try our luck in a few weeks. We have 2 days of early entry @ MK on our trip. Plan is first day hit Splash/BTM and then work our way over to Toontown by 9:30..grabbing some FP's in Fantasyland before seeing the Fairies.

We got behind the rope on the train side pretty early only because it was raining. We only had about a 15 min wait to see the fairies. The thing they did do tho was let the other side in first so tons of people were already heading that way by the time they got to our rope. We just got really lucky. We didn't get to see all of them because every time we would go back to see if the ones we missed were there it was a madhouse.

Thanks everyone! We are planning on being there for EMH doing Dumbo, Peter Pan, Pooh, Indy Racers, Buzz, TTA, Tea Cups (our traditional MK 1st morning) and then getting in line around 9:45. Maybe we'll keep an eye on the crowd and think about getting there around 9:30.

just to confirm what everyone is saying, I was at WDW last week and couldn't resist popping to see Belle so was in Princess line at 9.40am, the line for Tink and fairies was 30 minutes, this was a few minutes after they started letting people into Toontown. The fairies line was up to 45 minutes 20 minutes or so later on my way out.

I saw the fairies line at 30 minutes around noon last Saturday, while the princesses had a 45 minute line. It was obvious that the sign for the princesses was wrong because there were several times while I was standing in the fairies line that the princesses line was completely empty.

We met the Fairies before the movie came out. It was great!!!! Both my kids loved it.

Then we tried the traditional way of getting to toon town. After about five visits (during the day) we quickly learned that the average wait is well over an hour.

Even when the wait time was listed as 30 minutes, it still took us over an hour to meet them.

Oddly, the Princess line seems to move quicker. Well in our experience anyway.

I have seen that as well. The fairies continue to draw more guests than the princesses.

Fairy/Princess ?

Hi,
Not familiar with where this meet and greet is. So is the Fairy and the Princess meet and greet at the same location just a different line? Toontown? What is it called? Thanks.

You can meet the fairies in Toon Town, the line runs parallel to the princess line so you can see how fast the other line is moving. You are taken by groups into a room where you meet 3 fairies or princesses, depending on which line you're in. The place you meet the fairies is called "Pixie Hollow".

Toystorymaniacs: I met Tink last week. We were told that Pixie Hollow opened at 10, but that people started lining up way in advance. We figured there was no point in waiting in advance when we could just come back later & wait anyways. We went around noon and waited 75 minutes, even though the side said 45 minutes. It was a blast - we actually got to spend a lot of time w/the fairies, and they were really fun. I highly recommend doing it, but going earlier than I went just to cut down the line. You're there at a pretty laid back time if year so it shouldn't be bad.

Thanks, I think we will get in line at the rope at 9:30.
