He loved it. It's kind of a mixed bag. There is a LOT of waiting around in the contemporary, and while Disney has done their best (at least as of August 2011) to "magic up" the area with a couple Pirate statues, there is no getting around that you are hanging out in the very bland Corporate Meeting Room common area of a hotel. Like I said, this can actually not be a big deal to a little one. Our guy has never had an issue with being afraid of fireworks, but if your does, being on the Seven Seas Lagoon, at a significantly greater distance, may help with that actually. The cruise is great, although a lot of the jokes probably will go right over his head. The pirate hosts are very "jungle-cruise esque" but clearly have a lot more freedom to ad-lib etc. They have a bunch of free toys to give away for answering trivia questions. Almost 2 years later, and one of the pirate swords we won is still in heavy play rotation. You get an up close view of the Electrical Water Pageant (longest continually running show at WDW, ding!) which is nice, and a great view of both Bay Lake and the Seven Seas Lagoon. Once the Fireworks start, they cut all the lights and the Wishes music is played through the boat's speaker system. Is it over-priced? Sure, it's Disney, but, especially if you are visiting at a busy time, it's a great way to see the fireworks comfortably, and the other perks are nice as well.
