Back in 2003, Geyser Mountain was suppose to be built in the BTM ranch area as a continuation of the BTM area. Your mine car went through some tunnels and then would be shot out of the top of the mountain by a Geyser of water. At the time, DCA was having problems so they scrapped Geyser Mountain for Disneyland and built a cheap version of the TOT in DCA instead. It would have been a really cool ride. They even removed Cascade falls in order for this mountain to be seen from river boat.

Over a Magic Mountain I just got a new ride announcement email. The new ride is called Justice League: Battle for Metropolis. It is basically a Buzz Lightyear 3D shooter with AA figures.

Six Flags Magic Mountain will debut the newest innovation in immersive thrills, JUSTICE LEAGUE: Battle for Metropolis — Ride. Play. Triumph. The next generation of the award-winning Six Flags ride will now feature a spectacular new finale, new game targets, and the introduction of one of DC's hottest Super-Villains, HARLEY QUINN. This cutting-edge attraction brings you into the DC Universe featuring interactive content in one of the first-ever virtual 360-degree loops on an attraction, and interactive 180-degree toroidal screens that allow you to experience state-of-the-art gaming while riding in six-passenger pitch and roll motion-based vehicles synced to custom action-packed scenes featuring the most iconic DC characters.

Slated to open spring 2017, you'll become a member of the JUSTICE LEAGUE Reserve Team in a multi-sensory four minute game experience with wind, fire, fog, and special effects as you battle alongside the iconic Super Heroes - BATMAN, SUPERMAN, WONDER WOMAN, THE FLASH, CYBORG, and GREEN LANTERN to save the city of Metropolis from LEX LUTHOR, THE JOKER, and his henchmen. Also wreaking havoc will be HARLEY QUINN, THE JOKER's favorite sidekick.

JUSTICE LEAGUE: Battle for Metropolis will debut in a newly themed area of the park.

Six flags is trying to get into the family market and fix their image. I get surveys every couple of months asking about new ride ideas, problems with the parks and ways to improve. Most things they ask about in the surveys are actually coming true and I'm seeing improvements. They just can't drop a billion dollars on one park like Disney can. The most they can ever do at one park is about 20 million per year but it seems each of their parks get the improvement.

Fix #1: Remove all tacky advertisements for credit cards, candy bars, hair products and R-rated movies. Nahhhhh... never happen...

They kind of need those things still because they have no other revenue beyond cheap APs. It's really the only thing that is keeping them afloat and not turned into a housing complex. Once they have some different rides beyond coasters they can raise prices and decrease the tacky ads.

What they ought to do is bring back the creepy old dancing man! ;)

They were actually selling this hat at the park, right near the main entrance. DL would never sell this...Knott's?

Here is the Justice League ride over at Six Flags Great America.

It looks like a fun ride, but wow... a lot of that stuff seems to be directly ripped right from Spidey at IOA! If you look at Spidey scene-by-scene and compare it to this, it's realllllllllly similar. Even the ending with the villain hanging upside down is the same. Weird!
