I've certainly had my wild nights at Disneyland getting drunk and not remembering things. One night, I was completely wasted after having 3 long island iced teas and something called a Phil Collins at the Uva Bar. I remember that. I remember going to the parking garage and being abandoned by my friend. The next thing I remember was waking up slumped in a chair in the living room and having to go to work in a couple hours. Truck was outside. No recollection of the drive.

My parents made sure I was old enough to remember EPCOT Center.

Sounds safe and responsible.

What adult goes to DISNEYLAND and gets that drunk? Man you need to watch yourself.

USH has finally made some changes to their APs.

The Gold AP, $289, is now valid 337 days a year and includes free parking before 5pm (previously it had more blackout dates and no parking).

The Platinum AP, $589, now includes front of line access once per attraction per day at all rides and priority seating at shows. Previously it included front of line for tram tour only. The other benefits, including no blackouts, parking before 5pm and a HHN ticket remain.

These are good changes but the parking before 5pm thing needs to go. If the Platinum pass included preferred or valet parking at any time of day, it would be a better value at $589.

And as Disney learned, if you really want a poop ton of APs, offer a monthly payment option.

Those aren't bad. I might take them up on the Gold AP after my Disneyland one expires in October. I think I could stand to go 2-3 times to USH. I've already done that at MM with my cheap $40 AP pass.

Still wayyyy too pricey for what USH offers IMO. I'm perfectly happy with my $90-something AP that I got at Costco earlier in the year that has a bunch of blockout dates that I've only had a desire to use once -- even with Universal sending me many emails telling me I'm welcome to come visit on a Sunday. :) Truth is, I'd probably go more often but there's not a whole lot for my kiddo to do until he's taller!

The 5pm parking thing isn't really that big of a deal considering, for most of the year, the park closes by 6 or 7pm anyways and it's not like locals are clamoring to go visit City Walk. If anything, I consider the place to be an annoyance that I'm forced to walk through twice to get to the theme park!

But of course, that will all change once Margaritaville opens! ;)

Tip: Never eat at the Chinese food restaurant in City Walk. I ate there and had the worst possible service. To begin with, the waitress wouldn't let us order certain things because the coupon Universal gave out didn't cover it. She then disappeared for over an hour. We asked another waiter what happen to our waitress, he didn't know who had our table. The manager eventually brought us very cold food. We still never saw the waitress. Finally she showed up with the bill and we asked her were she was and why the food was terrible. She wouldn't say. She then disappeared again. We had to flag down another waiter to process our credit card and returned with the receipt. I left her with a one cent tip as a signal to the manager that service was terrible. We should have just left without paying. No one would have noticed since we were ignored the entire night.

Never ate there...BUT, I do highly recommend the similarly named 'City Wok' at the Ralph's shopping center down the street at Vineland & Ventura. Been going there for over a decade now and it's still good and fairly inexpensive!

Im planning a USH trip for Tuesday
8/ 30. This will be my first time seeing The Wizarding World on either coast. As well as my first time on Minions Mayhem and the Fast n Furious addition to the tram tour. Can anyone tell me if the front of the lines passes would be worth the money? I'm strategically picking that week thinking it won't be too crowded. If the lines are say, 30 minutes or less, I'd rather not buy the front of the line passes. I would appreciate the tips.

And kind off topic , but right around there exists one of the best Hawaiian/ Korean BBQ spots in So Cal. It's called Ohana. Get the dark meat BBQ chicken. Comes with steamed rice( cooked to perfection) a little side salad with possibly the tastiest dressing I've ever had and a scoop of Mac salad.

I wouldn't spend the money. You only get to skip to the front of each attraction one time. I just wouldn't do it. Not to mention you'll be done with the park in two to three hours.

Maybe it's because I used to work at USH and would see hundreds of families with those passes finishing up their day by noon. Or maybe it's because I'm used to the free front of the line passes. :D

Hell yeah... Been going to Ohana for probably just as long as City Wok. I always go for the bbq chicken/bbq pork combo. Agreed on the dressing and mac/potato salad. It's a little on the pricey side, but you get a TON of food for the $$$. And now I want Ohana..

I just found out about this gem a year ago. I don't consider it pricey for the amount of food you get. I can't escape Carl's Jr. these days without spending 10 bucks and Carl's is nasty. It's really gone done hill over the last few years.

Lol. Thanks, yeah I'm probably not going to. If the wait times are like what they were in early summer I totally don't need them. However, I'm checking out the wait times today and they don't look too pleasant.

Carl's Jr. is not my cup of tea at all. It's up there with McDonald's, Burger King and Jack-in-the-Box. Gross.

I agree, although I have a weird soft spot for McDonalds double cheeseburgers. And now that Ive lost all my credibility.... if your not too far from the San Fernando Valley, Try Bills burgers in Van Nuys. It's just a great burger. No frills. When I tried it for the first time, I thought to myself, this must be what the burger started out as. It's a tiny Shaq, run by Bill who s pushing 90, his ex wife and girlfriend. Place has been there since the 60's. I think I read that he gets his beef locally and it does smell "fresh" when it's on the grill. He's not open on weekends and only accepts cash. They don't even serve fries, just a bag of lays potato chips.

I love the mom-and-pop burger joints in Souther California. They taste much better than the popular chain restaurant burgers. In-N-Out and Fatburger are my exceptions. I'm a sucker for decades-old eateries, so I will definitely check out Bill's.
