I don't know much about his acting other than Butterfly Effect. He was really young but acted really well!

The reboot could work from the high school era if they took a bit of a different look to it. I don't mean go Dark Knight on it, just change the style slightly. The first Spider-Man was very light in terms of depth I thought.

I'm sure it will work, but they are gonna probably need to shrink the scope of the movie. The last three movies have been pretty big and take up all of New York City. If they take it down a notch, not make it so grand, it could work. Keep it focused around the high school, in the small borough or town.

But yea, I think the look should be different. Not extremely dark, but maybe a little more gloomy.
