Did anyone notice the McD's in MGM? I don't remember having seen this one before. Anyone know if it's new?

I sure do, when I was a kid, I was a manager at one... the meat is 100% pure beef (and not the hot dog kind of beef, either)... :p ;) :D

I noticed the McDs when I was there just recently. Definitely something new. I think it is a good idea. If you have a picky eater (and I don't just mean kids), the McDs provides you with options that are familiar.

Listen, I saw the boxes that arrived USDA approved from the meat packing plants... It's beef. It's not, Buffalo or Kangaroo or any of that other crap people talk about. It is ground quite a bit more finely than most and goes directly from being frozen to being cooked from the top and the bottom which is why the patties are perfect flat circles but there is nothing mysterious about it... By law, the information on those boxes has to be accurate. :p

Why would I want to pay $50 to go into a park and eat McDonalds. If they want to put one or two on the property fine but keep them out of the park.

I don't see a problem with them as long as things stay the way they are. McD's is a major sponsor (and partner) and Disney has been promoting coke products for years in a much more obvious way. Lets not also forget that Disney sells only Kodak cameras and all their pictures are printed on Kodak paper and that AMEX is the card of choice and so on. At least with what they are doing, it's rather subtle. My personal feeling is why pay $7 for something there that I can get for $4 right off property, with the drink included. If I'm going to get a burger there, I'd rather pay about the same price and do one of the ones with the topping bars but on the other hand, the McD's they have in the parks always seem to be very busy so the vast majority of guests must be OK with it... I agree with Tink's take on it.

 What must you think of me!.. I'm not siding with Tink just because it's Tink's opinion. If you look through the treads, I have pretty much said the same thing elsewhere so :p :p :p :D

lol yeah 100% pure beef what. Pure beef brains, guts, reconstituted meat. What its not is 100% pure meat, nowhere near. For a start if it was 100% pure meat it woldn't hold together as a patti so some fat is needed but how much pure beef fat and the meat that is in is it not what you would call quality. So lets leave the Mc D's outside the park and have some quality food instead.

Well, I don't know about you guys but I have never been all that impressed with the Disney counter service fast food. Mediocre, at best, with a few exceptions. So rather than reinvent the wheel, Disney probably saw this as an opportunity to have a partner come in and do what they do best - sell hamburgers and french fries. I'm sorry, guys, but McDonald's is popular with a lot of people - that's why they are still in business. People with finicky eaters in their group can send them to McD's to eat while they go and get themselves a turkey leg.:p

Yea, I love that kangaroo meat rumor. I would tend to think that kangaroo meat would be more expensive than beef, being that it's imported.
