McDonald's fries in Frontierland

I agree on the service at Flo's being quick. The shakes are pretty good as is the French dip. I just wish the ribs were bigger. It's like they cut pork ribs in half and pretend there are four of them. The Jumper grill still takes way to long for a dried out hamburger.

mickEblu: by the way, next time you're there, go inside just to check out the music and decor...ESPECIALLY if you like 60's Motown music or the Cars universe. The RSR side has a history of Flo's music career via wonderful mocked-up album covers, and the Health Clinic side has hilarious mementos of Doc Hudson's medical practice (first aid kits with spare bumpers and Ramone's X-ray for starters. And Doc's business license finally reveals which state Carburetor County is actually in: The State of Confusion.) Plus the 3 Piston Cups.

Thanks for the tip! That sounds cool and I will definitely check it out.

I've come to the conclusion that I'm the only person alive who thinks In n' Out's burgers are completely overrated. I gave them another chance on a recent trip to Tahoe and thought the burger was mediocre and the fries tasted like chalk. Never again.

If a California fast-food buger chain were to come to DLR my vote would be for Super Duper Burgers.

No, I feel the same way. I find their burgers bland. Fries are decent, love their shakes. Employees are always awesome, though, and the atmosphere's fun.

My vegetarian niece, however, got me to try their off-the-menu grilled cheese. It's awesome! It's, like three layers of melted cheese with lettuce on a grilled bun. That's what I order now instead of a burger when I go.

I agree that the fries suck but they have improved recently ? Has anyone else noticed they have been crispier of late?

The burger is just a solid, tasty fast food burger with fresh ingredients. Did you grow up in Calfornia eating In n Out ? Or did you come here with these enormous expectations that people had set for you which could never possibly be matched?

Where can I get a Super Duper burger?

If In&Out did have a store at DCA, would they allow for secret menu options? Say get a flying dutchman and animal style fries with a rootbeer float? or maybe a grilled cheese?

I prefer the Habit burgers to In&Out. Their strawberry/limeaid is really good. Farmer Boy is pretty good too.
I will take Habit and Farmer Boys, as well as any number of hole in the wall places over In & Out. Not that I don't like it but yes, a bit over hyped/rated. Good for a fairly inexpensive meal once in awhile...much cheaper than the two others I mentioned.

So I just checked out their website and lo and behold they have 3 outlets up here! The closest one to me is nearby in Daly City. I'll definitely have to pay a visit.
You absolutely have to. Great burgers...grilled sourdough...and I love both their chicken sandwiches and chicken caesar salad. I believe they started in Santa Barbara and have really started popping up all over the place down here in the last 3-5 years. Still need to try Steak and Shake...a friend of ours is director of franchise operations. Not very many in So Cal though they are just starting to expand.

The Habit's tri-tip stake sandwich on sourdough is really good.
