McDonald's fries in Frontierland

Why the heck doesn't DCA have an In n' Out? I'm not one who cares about the California theme at all, but if you're going with it, why not include CA's most famous fast food? (Personally, I find In n' Out overrated but fun).

Because In n' Out can't make food that fast. The lines are huge at the restaurant. Imagine how long the lines would be at DCA.

Back in college the local McDonalds would have friday nights where cheeseburgers are a quarter while a bucket of fries (super size cup full of fries) for a dollar. We use to be five dollars worth of cheeseburgers and make 4x4s and 6x6s.
In my HS years, Burger King did 39 cent cheesburgers. We would load up.

The deal expired and wasn't renewed. Besides, who wants to pay $4 for a $1 bag of fries you can get on any street corner?
I'm sorry, but that's just not correct.

That picture is from 2007. I was in high school working at a McDonald's at the time and a large order of fires was $2.05. It was one of the best value in-park options compared to "real world" prices. I remember going on spring break in college and specifically getting those McDonald's fries to eat for lunch one day because it's all I could afford.

That picture is from DAK/WDW, where quick service prices used to be much cheaper than DLR. From the same site, the fries were $3 at DL:

So I was off by a $1 in my memory, but $3 is still too much for a medium McDonald's fry. This is one partnership few people miss.

Being that Disney just can't seem to get a burger right, I would welcome In and Out at Flos diner in Cars Land as long as it is tastefully done like Starbucks on Main Street. Its odd because for a theme park most of the other snacks/ food is pretty good.

Is it just me or is Flos always empty? I've never eaten there because the menu never looked that appealing but I definitely would if I could get a decent burger there. It's a diner that looks like it's set in the 50s. They should be serving burgers and milkshakes.

The beef with Coca Cola sauce with corn medley and mashed potatoes is fantastic, and I love the Brioche French Toast (which tastes like banana bread with caramel sauce) for breakfast. :)

I've been at Flo's when it's packed and when it's empty. The crowd patterns are weird. One thing, though, their service is usually super-quick. I could sit in there and listen to 60's motown all day. :)

mickEblu: by the way, next time you're there, go inside just to check out the music and decor...ESPECIALLY if you like 60's Motown music or the Cars universe. The RSR side has a history of Flo's music career via wonderful mocked-up album covers, and the Health Clinic side has hilarious mementos of Doc Hudson's medical practice (first aid kits with spare bumpers and Ramone's X-ray for starters. And Doc's business license finally reveals which state Carburetor County is actually in: The State of Confusion.) Plus the 3 Piston Cups.
