May or September?

I'm so torn and am driving myself crazy! Our family went to WDW for the first time last May. It was great! Not too hot and we didn't get rain once! I wanted to try September 2017 for my daughter's 4th birthday and also the MNSSHP - which would be a big hit with my 5 year old son. I hear September is super hot with lots of rain? Should I just stick with May?

I love Sept-Oct at WDW. We have done it several times, even been there for Halloween twice. We go this year in Sept for Food and Wine which is an added bonus!

I voted for May but one thing I don't like about May is that all my friends go in the summer and I yearn to go with them when they're there and my next trip is sooooo far away. I know that's silly, but we went this past May/June and it feels like forever ago, especially when I watch my friends go during the summer. In the past we have gone in August and that has always been our favorite time to go. We are going next August too and that feels like forever away too!!! I would recommend to go in September. Yes, it will be hot but it will be tons of fun and you'll get to celebrate your daughter's birthday while there and do the MNSSHP! How awesome.

I think you're right though - September just seems so far away at this point! May sounds so much better. Lol. My son would also be missing a week at the end of preschool in May as opposed to one of the first weeks of Kindergarten in September. Disney planning is so much fun, but it's full of second guessing - ha!

Definitely picking the right time for your family is the first step!!! Lol once you get your dates the rest of the trip will be easy to plan!

This will be our 3rd tie to go in September but first with kids at this tie of year. The first time i don't remember being very hot but second time it was. We are going to the Halloween party to this year for the first time. I never remember the rain messing up any part of our trip. If is rain only last a little bit. Hope you have fun!!

September can be VERY hot and we experienced a ton of rain on my last September trip. Would that sway me from going then? NOPE! I absolutely LOVE Mickey's Not So Scary and Epcot's Food and Wine Festival. Weather can be very hit or miss in Florida and that's going to be the case in May or September. I've had completely beautiful May trips and completely soaked May trips as well (I somehow end up going more often in May, just because of how other family travels work out) But I think you'd be happy either way :)

I voted for September. I love the fall/Halloween decorations especially if you've never seen them and the Halloween party is so much fun. It's a totally different atmosphere with all of the decorations. September will probably be hot and very humid though and of course rain in Florida is hard to predict but there is no better place to celebrate a birthday.

Dont agonize any longer. Go in September!!! Going to Disney is all about having fun and building memories. Whats going to make this Sept great is celebrating 2 b-days, getting to visit the parks at a different time of year, and experiencing MNSSHP. The event is fabulous, the park is filled with decorations and beautifully carved pumpkins are situated everywhere. Your kids will love dressing up in costumes and collecting candy. Its all a win - win situation. So stop what youre doing and go book it NOW. :D:D:D
