May Crowds

We recently booked our trip, from May 20 to May 26. Last time we went was the second part of August, in 2011, and the parks had a lot of people but it was manageable for most rides.

I was wondering what the crowds will look like during this period, should I expect similar crowds or less?

We've never been there that late in May so not sure about the crowds as you get closer to Memorial Day. But I can tell you the May crowds have steadily increased over the years. But as they say, there are no more low-crowd times of year anymore.

Thanks for the info. It's always surprising to see a park like this be so busy year-round.

I guess we will take it 1 day at a time (but booking FP+ 60 days before). When we went in 2011, it was me and my wife, and we wanted to be everywhere and see everything... This time, we are bringing our 4yr old boy and it will be about him, and seeing the magic through his eyes!

We are driving home from a week a WDW, a week that is supposed to be a slow week. It felt busy and crowded, the waits at some points were ridiculous like 30mins for Small World and 10 for the people mover.

Wow - I didn't think it was possible to have a wait time for the People Mover!

My parents are also going during that time and I am planning their trip for them. According to what I found the average crowd is 6-8 out of 10. As long as you plan it accordingly and get those Fastpasses and find the parks who have the lowest crowds for the day you will be good.
I don't think you will see as bad crowds in the middle of the week, but on the weekends it will go up.

Have fun!

We went around Memoral Day last year and the crowds were absolutely manageable. Just plan your absolute must dos and utilize the fast passes and you'll be golden!!! Enjoy your trip!
