Trains, WE GOT TRAINS HERE!

Anyways, what's with the booing after it makes it to the first brake zone? That's a Mission Accomplished to get it to stop at the first brake zone...if it DOESN'T make it there, THEN you boo...

Great Update! Thanksveramuch!

If I understood correctly, the bystanders were disappointed they couldn't see more of the coaster (since from that point it goes behind the buildings), hence the boos. But yes, it is exciting to see it testing, can't wait for it to open!

Thanks for the update, coaster's looking good. Great to see the park so busy, though it's odd to see Shrek operating at half capacity.

They were only operating one theater at Shrek earlier in the week when I was down. I figured it had to do with the low crowds, but it might be more.

Thanks for the update James!

So each train only has 2 cars that appear to hold 6 people per car, Is there just one safety brake? If so that means that only 2 trains can run at a time. Thats not a very high ride capacity?

It's very odd they they went with this coaster type, which necessitates all those brake runs due to low train capacity. Is it due to space? I went on Hollywood Dream in Universal Studios Japan, and it was a killer mini-hyper with on-board audio that went over the tops of all the buildings there. LOADS of airtime, and it would have been the only B&M speedcoaster in Florida. I am really hoping HRRR will stack up to that coaster.

They were afraid a normal-sized train wouldn't be able to maneuver smoothly through certain elements. They're hoping the conveyor-style loading platform will help keep waits down.

I'm sure Hollywood Dream is a nice ride, but Rockit definitely has the potential to top it. It has a more interesting layout, taller drops, etc. You also have a much larger selection of songs, plus there's the added video aspect.

REALLY? Hmmm. That's an interesting choice of Load-style. If they stack trains on the lift it will be much, much scarier and the thought of Evac'ing off that does frighten me more than the Coaster bits.

The train stopped in the brake zone.

Is it just me, or does it look like the train could get stuck on top of that loop pretty easy if the weight distribution is just right?:lookaroun

Which way is up on that lift hill?:zipit:

The vertical side is the lift.

It looks scary...But I'm going to try and work up the courage to ride it though, because I know I'll enjoy it! Plus it'll just feel like Mission Space before takeoff, just in real life...evacuation is what unnerves me. :lookaroun

(As a huge Chicken-exit fan in my recent past, I highly suggest summoning a geek following in Ride Mechanics to eventually get on these things. :D)

Couldn't talk me on Manta though, looks uncomfortable...keep my seat upright before you dispatch thankyouveramuch.

Manta is surprisingly comfy. The harness is more like a big cushion.:D

I'm still talking myself into riding it...
:lookaroun

RNR is a breeze...Trust me, from someone who went from only riding Big Thunder to someone who rides most rides, as I look back: RNR (Being the last ride I had to get nerve up to ride) it is by far one of the least scary of the rides.

But I had previous ROTM training of course. (which does not have any inversions, but has High-G turns in a similar environment.)

That's a ride that's awesome by the way. Air time heaven. It's all about getting addicted to Air Time, it's a hoot...
