Matterhorn to Receive New Bobsleds

Fantasyland side was TERRIFIC. I've always considered the Fantasyland track the scarier side, and you can hear the screams from the top of the ride on your ascent now. (Scarier because when you approach the top of the ride you are in complete darkness. Really sets the tone for the ride.)

The ride is much smoother now and you can see how clean the tracks are.

Lighting effects on the yeti are terrific - it's less obvious turning the corner towards him that something is going to scare you in a moment.

I've seen some complaints that "you shouldn't wear a dress" if you're going to get out of the new cars. This is nonsense. They are no worse and no better than the old vehicles.

All in all I am very happy with the ride and feel that the refurb was worth the wait.

Does it cause the person to slid backwards into the person behind them still? I hope they fixed that because I felt so bad for my brother since he was getting squashed when we went Christmas 2010.

There are no lap bars. Just seat belts. You just climb in, have a seat and strap in.

Thanks I'm so excited to go back. I'm from the East coast, so we are usually Florida people but we went to DL in January and honestly had so much fun there that we coudln't wait to go back. We are skipping our usual FL trip to go back to the West Coast!

Disneyland really is a great place and I'm so glad your first trip was a fun one. Here's to many more trips to Walt's park for the both of us!
