When I took the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour last month, the tour guide said that it WAS built because of the regulation code that said that only sports building could be this high or something like this. She said it was not built as a place for climbers to relax.

Unfortunately, this is another case of Cast Members passing along incorrect information. Snopes.com debunk that, pointing out that there weren't height restrictions in Anaheim until the 70's.

When I took the tour around Christmas time, our Guide told us that it was put there as a place for CMs to take breaks. That other tour guide definitely passed along incorrect information!

Also, where exactly is the basketball court inside the Matterhorn?

It's above the rollercoaster portion of the mountain, with stairs that wind up to the top where Tink launches. It's pretty cool.

Great video! However, I must say that I don't really think people should be using the word "court" to describe that room in the Matterhorn. It just looks like an attic with a 1960's basketball hoop.
