My friend, an otherwise healthy State trooper, died of COVID, leaving a wife and 2 sons behind. He didn't wear a mask. I'll wear a mask.
I'm very sorry for your loss. Being part of the anti mask crowd can cost one their life. I've been vaccinated with Moderna in Jan and Feb and I still wear my mask everywhere I go. My brother's friend a healthy guy in his early 50s tested positive for Covid and ended up rushed to the hospital.

I too have been vaccinated in Jan and Feb with Moderna and as we have close family members with cancer and MS, I too wear my mask everytime I go out to a store or restaurant or even get gas. I use gloves to punch in the codes on the pump. If someone calls me a p---y for doing it, I just point to my veteran's license plate and airborne and pathfinder emblem. Shuts 'em right up, but that doesn't need to happen.

Hoping eagerly for Fall/ Winter 2021, cant see it happening sooner. Once people get vaccinated they will begin to have confidence that their immunity will take hold and offer protection so we will start seeing numbers of travelers, workers and vacationers venture out more. If there is a period of a few months time were numbers of cases stay reserved, I'm sure Disney and other businesses will relax covid policies

Do you know if there's a map online that shows where the mask relief areas are located? If not, can you report what you observed as to how many there are and where they're located? If not, I can ask elsewhere. Thanks.

Maps for each park will indicate the relaxation stations...you should be able to find them on the Disney website. But here's a list; some may have changed.

Only if it means more revenue, I think. There doesn't seem to be any shortage of crowds now, with the masks on...they might prove to be very cautious because like I said before, one slipup and they're locked down again and I don't think FLA Gov DeSantis will be able to intercede...the feds will come down on them...and probably rightfully so if it happens. But again, we don't know what we don't know....I live in the Atlanta area, so we just hop in the car and drive down (we're DVC, so SOME planning has to take place), and once we get into northern Florida it's like the world that time forgot - no masks anywhere, restaurants, rest stops, etc. It's pretty scary....but WDW is a private business and they'll set their their own rules and they're still too big for DeSantis to order around...

I'm going to have to correct some of the misinformation in this post. First of all, while TWDC is a private company, under the emergency powers of the governor, private businesses can be closed (see bars, restaurants). In order to reopen, Disney had to submit a plan to the state for review and approval. Mask ordinances are county by county in the state. The problem is, counties/cities can't enforce them. I live in the Florida Panhandle. I see few not wearing masks - but then I limit my activities: primarily grocery store, gas station, Lowe's. On my drive down to WDW, I see few people at rest stops NOT wearing masks. And I've witnessed CMs - including security - approach guests to tell them to put their masks on or wear the mask properly. Frankly, enforcement and compliance at WDW is better than that at my local Lowe's...and I live in a Florida county with a mask mandate.

And I guarantee, if an outbreak and spike in Florida is tied back to WDW, the governor will be having a conversation with Bob Chapek.

Thanks. As soon as I realized they were called relaxation stations, I was able to find them!

Yeah, the name is misleading....

There are CMs monitoring the stations so they don't get too crowded, so you may have to find another one. During my trip in September, I sat at a table at Tortuga Tavern in MK, with a snack, to sit and relax. Under the new rules, I won't be able to do that any more, once I've finished eating.

I guess we are just having some different experiences. I too have a beach home in the Panhandle and I was just there 2 weeks ago and find most people NOT wearing masks. In the Eufaula, AL and Madrid, AL rest stops, which are the ones we stop at when going to our house near Mexico Beach, masks were few and far between. In January, driving down I-75 from Atlanta, going into towns like Lake City, it was scary. I asked the hostess at the Cracker Barrel there why she and the others and patrons weren't wearing masks and she said it was up to the individual because the county didn't require them. My point was the DeSantis would probably want to keep things OPEN, not close them down and Disney would be more cautious, judging from what I've seen this past year in my 3 trips to Disney and who knows how many to the Panhandle. I hope the stricter enforcement, as you say, IS the norm and you are correct in all your information. I just haven't seen it in my travels and personal experiences. And you can forget the Dollar Stores in the Panhandle around Mexico Beach and the neighboring towns - very few, if any, masks. Sorry to differ, but it's just what I've seen. Please DO point out any misinformation as I am only a visitor there and you are a resident and the facts may indeed be different.

It will happen when the other major theme parks will decide mutually that it is time to make them strongly encouraged rather than required.

It could happen at the very end of the year but doubtful so soon. The promising factor all around is the fact that over 2 million people a day domestically are getting their vaccination shots and the daily number of doses given are growing.

100% correct. In addition customers at Wal Mart, Save A Lot, Dollar Store customers were mostly maskless. In Whole Foods, Publix, there were more customers compliant with mask wearing.

Disney spent too much money on plexiglass to just remove it. I think it is going to stay for a while, at least that is what my travel agent thinks. As for masking, I am a retired RN volunteering to give vaccines. We have been giving to all over 18, no restrictions here. This spring break week has been crickets. There is a significant portion of the population, specifically millennials who will not vaccinate for one reason or another. Anti vacc videos with misinformation going around. Husband is a doc who works with Covid patients. We went to Disney in October, had no issue wearing masks. But there were very few "mask police" around then. We saw about 75% compliance I would say as for correct mask wearing. And the crowds were massive. It was a great getaway though. Kids are there now having a blast for their spring break. The pictures show cute masks and what I think are smiles! We did masks all last summer in 100 degree Texas through no electricity after 4 hurricanes. We can tolerate Disney.

I could see masks going away and the plexiglass staying.

It’ll be interesting to see the difference between Uni and Disney. When one relaxes restrictions the other one will want to do the same due to visitors

There has to be a line drawn somewhere down the road. Many won’t get a vax so then what. Are we gonna wear masks and be social distanced and restricted forever because of some who don’t? If so I’ll sell my DVC contracts and let others enjoy half of the Disney experience for the same price as before

No, it will not be this mitigated or requested forever. For all those who kept comparing a Novel virus to the Flu, that is when it will finally be more comparable to that. A season or two of most reasonable people choosing to be vaccinated. It diminishes it enough and many people annually still get vaccinated. That is when the comparison to other common diseases will come into play.
Nothing is guaranteed, but that is the current trend.
It is reported that 1 in every 3 adults in the UK have been Vaccinated.
The US is delivering over 2 million doses a day and the daily administered number is rising as supplies increase and availability and trials go to teenagers, children and infants.
