"Production is officially underway on Marvel Studios' Echo, coming to Disney+ in 2023. Alaqua returns to the role of Maya Lopez, who viewers first met in Marvel Studios' Hawkeye — and the unforgiving deaf gang leader was determined to make Ronin, aka Clint Barton, pay for his own vengeful deeds. Find the first look image of back in the role of Maya above!

Streaming exclusively on Disney, the origin story of Echo revisits Maya Lopez, whose ruthless behavior in New York City catches up with her in her hometown. She must face her past, reconnect with her Native American roots and embrace the meaning of family and community if she ever hopes to move forward. Echo also stars Chaske Spencer (Wild Indian, The English), Tantoo Cardinal (Killers of the Flower Moon, Stumptown), Devery Jacobs (FX’s Reservation Dogs, American Gods) and Cody Lightning (Hey, Viktor!, Four Sheets to the Wind), with Graham Greene (1883, Goliath) and Zahn McClarnon (Dark Winds, FX’s Reservation Dogs).

Episodes of the series are directed by Sydney Freeland (Navajo) and Catriona McKenzie (Gunaikurnai). Executive producers are Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Stephen Broussard, Richie Palmer, Marion Dayre, and Jason Gavin (Blackfeet). Co-executive producers are Amy Rardin, Sydney Freeland, Christina King (Seminole), and Jennifer Booth."

During the Disney Upfront, Kevin Feige announced all episodes of Echo will premiere on Disney+ November 29, 2023.
Probably a good move. Regardless of the quality of the show, a lot of the fandom will only tune in because they want to see Daredevil and Kingpin. By releasing episodes at once, Disney is reducing the chance for (male) fans to complain about not seeing Daredevil.

I feel She-Hulk got a lot of unnecessary hate because fans were mad they had to wait another week to see Matt Murdock. Since people will be able to binge Echo and not have to wait so long, they may be more willing to judge the show on its own merits.

I feel She-Hulk got a lot of necessary hate because it was terrible.

:p

:D

(Still love the character - just not the show. :))

I was looking forward to Echo but I'll have given up my subscription by then (unless there's a REALLY good Black Friday deal or something) and will have to catch it down the road.

I’m a pretty big Marvel/MCU fan but this is seriously the first series I really have no interest in. I mean, I guess I’ll watch it at first to see if it’s interesting, maybe skim through for cameos, but the I just don’t see the point of it. Hopefully they have a pretty cool idea for the show’s plot and it’s captivating but I’m not optimistic- especially with doing the whole series at once

Here’s the new trailer for Marvel Studios’ Echo. Echo is rated TV-MA and is set to debut with all episodes on January 10, 2024 on Disney+ and Hulu. Echo will be available on Hulu until April 9.

it is just a trailer, but Echo looks better than I was expecting… from the trailer it looks like it would fit at home with Netflix Marvel

I think the fact that Echo is a relatively unknown/unpopular character has allowed the showrunners to experiment more with the miniseries. I had zero interest in the show before the trailer, but now I'm kind of curious to see where they go with it.
