Fantastic job on part II...can't wait for III.

While I don't loathe the Dench narration, this video really reminds us what an abomination the decent is now. I really hope that the next version goes a long way to fixing that.

By far my favorite part of this is seeing the translations of everything the AAs are saying. I've always wondered what they were saying. Thanks for this Martin, I can't wait for what you have in store next!
If only the Narration was as good as the dialogue. I think the video shows a lot of the flaws with this version(on WDI's part, Definitely not Martins) The Ascent tunnel looks even worse than I thought it did before. casting a lot of bright lighting making it painfully obvious that the star fields are just black curtains with fiber-optic stars in front of them. (Which was always obvious but looked far more believable in earlier versions). They really should bring back the time travel sound collage from the 94 Version. The Descent has already been discussed to death over the past 10 years so I won't re-iterate the obvious.

Yeah, it's a really nice touch and it adds a dimension to the ride I wasn't necessarily aware of before. Surprised they never thought to offer subtitles for different scenes on the touchscreens.

What did they use for the caveman elder's language though?

What would everybody think of the omnimovers being replaced by the much more dynamic and thrilling ride system of Harry Potter's Forbidden Journey?, whenever Space Ship Earth gets it's next (in this case it would a massive) update. The vehicles could of course be built to be more encapsulating and not have guests dangling their feet. Or maybe we should save this idea for Epcot New York? (if it ever gets official support)

That's just impractical and stupid. Not every ride has to be a thrill ride

It's not stupid, but it may not be practical. It would: still be a very full family inclusive level attraction, and not a dare devil attraction, the vehicles don't need to be programmed to go that fast except for maybe scene transitions; still of course deliver the same show and deliver the same story; but it would be adding this new dimension of engaging motion and perspective, that could make it the new most popular attraction in Walt Disney World.

Replacing an omnimover system with a series of robot arms would lead to a capacity nosedive and a system as complex and thrilling as a robocoaster does not fit into a slow-paced history lesson about the development of human civilization.

It's like using a chainsaw to butter your toast.

Now that I think of it, your right about not trying to fit it into Space Ship Earth. But another brand new attraction, like "Horizons 2.0" or "New Horizons", could be built to specifically use the robocoaster G2 ride system. It would be awesome because it can programmed to move at a slower speed for viewing the scenes, provide a more engaging perspective, and it can then utilize more thrilling maneuvers with added special effects for scene transitions. About the history lesson compatibility with, an at certain times, more thrilling ride system, I think your wrong. I watch so many ground breaking informational shows on National Geographic, the Science Channel, the Discovery channel, the History Channel, etc., that are communicating so much extremely important, trans-formative, information for the progress of society, that is delivered in so many times, a very inefficient boring way. I am not saying that Space Ship Earth is boring, because it is awesome and perfect the way it is. But I am saying that in the case of a new "Xpanding Horizons" attraction (cool attraction name?? maybe a "y" and "z" can be artistically shadowed or somehow placed by the "X" as a reference to the cartesian coordinate system), delivering such important information in a much more exciting format will create a much more popular and effective attraction than a new omnimover attraction.

So I'm watching this Spaceship Earth 2007 video (I've have been on it since the redo... man, over 10 years now!) and I'm listening to the music and I'm thinking some of it sounds familiar...and then later today, I'm listening to some old park soundtracks, and the old Horizons queue loop popped up. And there's this portion that sounds very similar to SE 2007's score.

I do a little googling, and I find this old nugget: http://forums.wdwmagic.com/threads/horizons-like-spaceship-earth.172596/ The subject of Horizon's music being in SE disappears, but @marni1971 said at the time that using that old music was rumored. Am I going crazy?
