I did read the thread. In fact I started it. This question was different but still related.

Are you saying that character information is not available online and that the rep was mistaken?

Yes they were mistaken. :)

The only info you may get online is for standard meet and greet locations, like Judges Tent - although I dont beleive that is even available. You are looking for a non standard character who is very rarely seen. When she does appear it isnt a preannounced event.

Only general character times are listed on websites (like Steve Soares' website). The majority of times are not going to be listed online. So to find the times, you either need to have a CM call the CHIP hotline, or ask a character attendant if they know.

Thanks. That was my thinking, yet the rep told me to look online.

Which leads to the question, who are the characters that are considered rare in WDW?:)

There are many characters that are considered "rare". Some only come out for special events, parties etc.

Marie is one of those "rare" characters that I think should be out more.

Any idea on how my daughter can meet Marie and maybe get an autograph? We are going to DW in less than two weeks.

BTW, this site is awesome. Hopefully with all the help I receive here, it will be the best trip to WDW yet.

You are going to WDW at a very good time for rare character sightings. I found out recently when I stumbled upon Robin Hood and some friends that until the end of January there is a good chance that some rare characters may be out for portions of the day at the Toontown teardrop behind the Judges tent. My advice would be to stop by guest relations any time you're at the Magic Kingdom and hopefully they'll be able to tell you who, if anyone, is there- I'm really not sure if they will have that information for this location though. Failing that a walk by that area a few times wouldn't hurt either. Another place to look is the walkway between the American Adventure and Italy at Epcot. The characters tend to appear in both places around mid day and never after 4:30 or so.

The information isn't found on line anywhere. Marie isn't a regularly scheduled character so Disney themselves often don't know if she's going to be out until she's tying on her pretty pink bow and getting herself ready for her fans.

Like I said, contact GR, as they will get you the autograph using a request form you can fill out there. It may take some time and it's not 100% guarenteed, but that is the best chance you will have of getting autographs from the rarest characters.

Guest Relations doesn't know which characters will be in the Teardrop and AA. That info isn't given to them.

Unbelievable.

We get into Epcot about 15 minutes after it opened. Saw Daisy on the right after the turnstiles and figured, lets go get Daisy's signature (oddly we have about 40 except for her).

We are waiting on line for 10 minutes and guess who walks right past us. . . . .

So we run over to Marie and finally get her picture and autograph. It made the day for the soon to be 3yo.

My wife then got her wish granted when we met Remy in France. She was able to hold his hand and rub his belly.

Great day!
