Would love to see Akon, 3 Doors Down, and Flo Rida. Hope I can make at least one concert, their new stage is fantastic!

Pretty nice lineup, but lacking a top shelf hip hop act. Flo Rida? I know he's local, but more of a flash in the pan than a major act. After Nelly last year I expected better. Akon is a good R&B artist though. I was excited about Chicago, then realized Peter Cetera doesn't tour with them anymore.

Just called my DH about Heart being there on Feb 13th and he is super excited. He loves Heart and it just so happens that we will be in Florida on Feb 13th. We check out of Pop on the 13th but we are going over to Port Charlotte to visit family for a few days, I think a little stop at Universal may be on the agenda!:animwink:

What are the crowds like during Mardi Gras. We're at Universal on the Sheryl Crow and Flo Rida weekend but not really interested in the concerts- so should we try and go a different day?

The crowds get very massive in the hours before the concert begins. The first half of the day isn't bad, but if you could go other days and don't care about the Mardi Gras atmosphere or concerts it might be wise to do so.

However, if you have enough days, the other parts of Mardi Gras (blues/jazz bands, extra characters, dances and the parade) are quite fun. I have gone just for those and left by the time the main headliner starts.
