The IP that I've decided will best replace Springfield/Simpsons is...
Trolls!

As I'm not super familiar with the IP, I'm doing a bit of research before deciding exactly what the land will be like.
It’s an incredible franchise! All three movies are a lot of fun, I am so excited to see what you do with this

I can’t reveal all details yet as I haven’t fully fleshed out my project but an IP I know I’ll be using is
James Bond. There’s not a large presence for such a massive IP in parks and I’ll try to fix that

I hope to add more beyond that but we will see!

Nice! Oddly I literally just semi-finished a park in Planet Coaster themed to James Bond for a PC contest. Love some 007. lol

Excited to see what you do!

Colors and Music are so great with that franchise! Lots of fun things you can do and will be cool to see. Studios is going to need a real draw when Epic opens even with the Dreamworks area coming soon.

(don't forget about Trollercoaster that opens this year)

Well, I certainly don't keep up with the Universal news like I should, so I'll have to give things more thought.

Correct me if I’m wrong but the Dreamworks update is only for Orlando. I’m actually been to the Simpsons land at Hollywood, although it doesn’t have the spinner or a few other things. It’s either that or say that the coaster is themed to something else (but that’s basically already fixed in real life).

No
I did a lot of research in the past few days and will split my project into two parts. Without further ado and with Ace's advice...
San Fransokyo
The other part is a bonus and opens at the same time my concept opens for phase 2...

This is correct! It's only Orlando so you'd be fine completely for Hollywood.

Certainly the biggest decision I face now is what to do with The Simpsons Ride.

It had been previously Back to the Future, so there’s some precedence for just changing the theme. But the technology is starting to feel a bit old, so I don’t think I’ll be going that route.

I could scrap it all. Start fresh.

Or keep part of the building and reconfigure it.
